I do not recommend this doctor. He said he'd confer with another doctor for a second opinion on my case, and I received a forwarded email of their correspondence. I was unsettled, as the information discussed in the email was inaccurate (including info about a medication to which I have a deadly allergy). I spent weeks hounding his office to try and follow up. When I finally talked with him to ask why the information he conveyed was incorrect he said it was because he "didn't look at my chart, just wrote the email from memory." I let him know that I found it disconcerting that a doctor would mismanage a case in this way and asked if he would do anything to amend the issue. He said no, it would make no difference. When I again voiced that I found the situation disconcerting (in my opinion, such a blatant disregard for correct medication information can be life threatening) he just said "point taken." Honestly, this smacks of malpractice to me, and I hope he doesn't harm others this way.

Dr Kane is my family Dr he has been treating me for the past 3 maybe 4 years. I couldn't believe he is rated as good, this Dr cares about his patients and ALWAYS asks if we covered every thing before he walks out that door. He is compassionate and truly cares about his patients. I think he should be rated with excellent on bedside care, takes time and never rushed his patients. Good is not good enough he loves being a Dr treating his patients with the up most of care.

Dr. Kane is friendly without being overly pushy, professional without being cold. He is brisk and efficient without rushing you. I highly recommend him as a Primary Care Physician with anyone with mental health issues, because he has a psychiatry background that will make him especially understanding. Probably my favorite PCP.

I've been a patient for almost a year, and don't like doctors that much and have heard plenty of horror stories too. So far, I can say that Dr. Kane and his staff have made me feel much more comfortable about picking up the phone if I ever need to.

No problem relating to dr Kane as a psychiatrist. He has good bedside manner and genuinely seems to care. Knowing that I had an addiction problem, I don't feel there was a proper level of monitoring and my addiction escalated under his care. Not blaming him, but feel he should have been better tuned in. Also I'm not sure my requests or questions ever made it from his assistant/receptionist to the Dr. It seems they fell into a black hole.

Verbal abuse. Micro-management. Mis-used psychiatric terminology, then called me pejorative names when I corrected him. Unkind, hateful, acted as though I was wasting his time.
