Dr Johnstone has been my primary care physician for over 15 years. Everything you could want in a doctor: personable & compassionate, very knowledgeable, explains things in laymen’s terms, and he listens!

Appointment was for my annual wellness check and Dr. Johnstone was very attentive as always. There were a couple things that I'd like to mention however related to the switch to Epic that Ascension is undergoing. It appeared to me as a retired IT technician that there should have been a data migration of our personal information that didn't require admission staff or my physician to enter basic information about my medications or contacts for thousands of patients. Second, my concern with loss of personal medical history is primary to continuing my relationship with Dr.Johnstone as my primary care physician. Staff training and data migration and retention are key during any migration to new systems and critical in the health care environment. Please consider these factors as you move forward with your implementation of Epic.
