Great Surgeon
I’ve seen reviews where some people don’t like his bedside manner…I don’t get that, he has always been kind and attentive. He has performed several surgeries on my wrists and trigger fingers(almost all of them), all with great results. Highly recommend

The best
If you don't understand why he is the guy to see for arm, shoulder, and hand and wrist stuff, then you don't deserve to see him. Is he going to act like your mom when you scraped your knee as a kid, no... but if you want dead on honest treatment for real ailments, this is the guy to see. He won't pull any punches but he will tell it like it is and he will make sure you get the absolute best and correct treatment you will find, at least in the KC area.Dr. Hall is one of the best doctors I have seen and unfortunately, I have had to see a bunch of them.

Dr. Michael Hall is the Best!
I feel fortunate to have found him around ten years ago to fix my CMC thumb, then another issue on same hand a couple years later. Doing great still. Then had a severe rotator cuff tear from a fall 8 months before. I feel certain that he did the best repair that could have possibly been done, and that there are very few in the area that could have done this surgery as well as he did.Dr. Hall is straight with you and knows what he is doing. Does he come off a little arrogant - I think it is because he is a perfectionist and methodical which are great things for you as a patient.

I was having thumb pain for 3-4 months and no one could figure out the cause. My friends recommended Dr. Hall. I was worried I had arthritis. He was quickly able to find the cause. He explained it was from tendonitis that was coming from the wrist. He gave me an injection and immediately fixed my pain! He took time and explained everything. He was amazing!!!

Amazing Surgeon but...
I'm quite torn when it comes to Dr. Hall. I've had multiple surgeries with him and I won't deny he is an outstanding surgeon. If he tells you others have given you an incorrect diagnosis or treatment, chances are, he's correct. My first and second procedures were completely different, the first he explained everything to me, answered all my questions made sure I was comfortable with what was happening, etc. The second, he didn't explain a single thing about the procedure, even when I asked he gave a quick answer and left. I had to do my own research or ask his (amazing) medical assistant. I received my pathology report straight from the lab which led me to questions, he had no interest in going over that with me, and as someone in a previous review stated. When I challenged him about a previous conversation, he was extremely defensive. The issue would never have happened if he'd taken notes on previous conversations and referred back to them rather than trying to ghostlight me.

Arrogant, Rude, Egotistical, degrading other MD's
Dr. Hall is not humble or kind. I was referred to him by two physicians that I trust who told me "he's the best". He may be respected as a good surgeon, but he has the most abrasive and rude bedside manner of any doctor I have ever been to. He essentially told me the other doctors were wrong in how I have been treated for my hand issue the last 20 years. He does not listen well and becomes defensive when challenged. I attempted to share a frustration I had with something he said to me at a previous appointment and he became very defensive, was unwilling to listen, and was unable to have a productive conversation about it. He said, "I am not going to argue about this" while he continued to have a one-sided argument. I sat quietly and listened. He said, "come back if you want the surgery" and walked out of the room. I will not go back. I find it sad that he is so respected by his colleagues while he treats patients this way.

I find Dr. Hall to be a skilled perfectionist and that is to the advantage of all his patients. I've had hand surgury on both my hands and he did an outstanding job. I'm kind of sad because I won't be needing his services any more, I only have 2 hands. Dr. Hall is straight forward which might rug some the wrong way but trust me he is really a caring , fine and excellent doctor. Thanks Doc for caring for me.

Dr Hall is very good at what he does!. I needed padding on my left thumb replaced. I also needed the arthritis on my left index finger removed and fusion done. He did both of the surgeries at one time. He is very thoughtful and considers you. He listens! I couldn't have asked for a better hand surgeon. It has been 2 months and I am doing really great. I would highly recommend Dr Michael M Hall for any hand surgery you need. He is the best!

Dr. Hall utilized his outstanding surgical experience and abilities to fix my right hand which was experiencing severe Dupuytren's contracture to make the middle and ring finger straight again and fully functional. He had previously addressed the same issues on four fingers on my left hand which is now completely normal again. I would highly recommend Dr. Hall

Dr. Hall completed surgery on my wrist and hand that included a permanent plate. All has gone so well I would like to thank him and his staff that did much of the follow up treatment. Now over a year post surgery I have complete function of my wrist and hand without any pain. I would recommend and refer anyone to Dr. Hall who has a serious hand and wrist injury.

I am very Happy my primary doctor (Mohammad Pourakbar) recommended Dr Hall for me. Dr Hall was upfront and direct concerning the shoulder surgery I was having. I appreciated his honesty and how he broke things down in layman's term for me. I am a Viet Nam Veteran and he related to me his family and background which made me feel comfortable, he related how much after surgery therapy was most important. From his office personnel to the surgery staff everyone was very pleasant aiming to please and make me comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Hall and want to thank him especially because I was able to participate in my club fishing tournament and came in third place (my partner and I) Surgery Date 8/24/2020

I had a very complicated injury from a soccer accident. I broke my metacarpal thumb bone into three pieces along with the joint right below. Doctor Hall did an amazing job during surgery and there were no complications. During the healing process Dr. Hall went the extra mile and made sure I received extra help in school due to the fact that I could not write. Great guy and an even better surgeon.
