Dr. Michael Gerber, DPM

Did not listen, did not care about the level of pain I was in. I worked with a lot of doctors through the fifteen years i cared for my dad when he was such with cancer, andi understand there are levels of bedside manner. This guy jumped up and down on the bed and broke it. No compassion, no care, just argumentative and combative interruptions of anything I said. Felt like a shoe salesman. I didn't leave with any pain relief but I sure left with a referral to the shoe store.

I went to see him after having an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic because it was suggested to have a podiatrist in town to check on my toe ulcer between visits to Cleveland. He clearly had personal issues with the Cleveland Clinic and kept repeating that “ I am the doctor and if you don’t follow my instructions the worst will happen”. He could see I was clearly upset and continued to call me a noncompliant patient- even though this was my first visit. He didn’t explain why he wanted to debride and when I asked what the healing time I could expect he told me “ it was up to me”. What kind of an answer is that???I felt he was actually verbally abusive. I left his office and will be driving over an hour to Cleveland for further follow up. If you are a woman I suggest you choose another practitioner with some empathy. He has no respect for people that ask questions about their own health.

DR.GERBER IS SOO AWESOME HE CUTS MY DADS NAILS PAUL SCOTT TOE NAILS EVERY MONTH N MY DAD IS A RETIRED MASSILLON POLICE OFFICER. DR GERBER HAS THE MOST RESPECT FOR POLICE OFFICERS!!!!!! HE ALWAYS SALUTES TO MY DAD N SHAKES OUR HANDS WHEN HE IS FINISHED WITH TREATMENT.

Very unprofessional and arrogant! I will never go back.

Dr Gerber was nice enough , however not thorough. I told him about my history with my podiatrist who is retired. Also, clearly stated my complaints including osteoarthristis which has affected my toes. He was more interested in me getting my foot measured.

I had an appointment at 8:45 and was seen at 9:10. He asked very few questions and assumed my walking and running were for exercise and missed that it was the social aspect, therefore, he spent most of the time talking about resistance training. I left annoyed and did not feel he offered me options or tried to learn more about my issues by asking questions.

Dr. Gerber was awesome. He was able to diagnose me without X-rays, and a minimal examination of my feet. He fixed me right up with new balance running shoes! Now I can live the next 40 years wearing only new balance. He even gave me a special 10% off coupon. I went right out and bought a pair for the shower, the house, the outdoors, and a special pair just for a night on the town. So glad to have gotten his second opinion! Who knew bone deformities could be fixed by shoes!

Dr. Gerber is very kind. He takes his time and listens to your concerns. Office staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this office to family and friends for sure.

Dr. Gerber's bedside manner is one of his best qualities and the best in the profession. He is kind, caring and puts all his effort and practice into helping releave the problem. His main focus is to offer relief in the best way without causing too much interruption into your daily life. He is honest and provides options to best find a fit for his patients. I highly recommend Dr. Gerber for anyone who has an ailment in their foot or ankle.
