He is compassionate and very knowledgeable
I have been going to Dr. Franklin for many years for chronic migraine. He spends the time necessary to fully understand the problem and includes your input on treatment decisions. I have been told by many doctors that I am out of options, but Dr. Franklin has never given up. He has personally called drug reps on my behalf and called to find me places I needed to go for treatment. He keeps up to date on all the latest research over and above any other doctor that I have seen for this. He is compassionate and kind. He really cares about his patients and treats me with respect. I cannot say enough good things about this doctor

Dr. Franklin is a fantastic, knowleable, up to date diagnostic physician I arrived at the hospital after colapsing. I woke up in the ED and things were hazy at first. The next morning I woke up to Dr. Franklin sitting in a chair in the room I was a little shaken up as I didn't know what happened. He was very calming and spent about an hour asking and answering questions. I don't to this day know how he suspected I had Guillian Barr Syndrome. This is a Syndrome which affects only 1 in 100,000 people and there are very few doctors who know how to treat it or have even heard of it. After some tests it was confirmed that I had Chronic Inflamatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy, a form of Guillian Barre. There are many blogs from patients who have gone from doctor to doctor for months, even years without a diagnosis. Then they find it hard to get treatment. The only NEGATIVE I have is it takes 4-5 months for f/up apps although he does keep watch over patients via phone

Dr Franklin was the 3rd neurologist i had seen with no results prior. He listens carefully and reaches far to find resolution. He even addressed a headache i had for 2 years that all my other drs weren't worried about. He has taken my pain from a 7 down to manageable and after 2 diagnoses, which my other drs agreed on also after dr Franklin made them is now working on my 3rd. I am so grateful to have him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Franklin's for over 10 years for my Multiple Sclerosis and he is the most knowledgeable doctor that I have ever been to. He may sometimes be late in seeing you, but that is because he tales all of the time that you need with him. He has always treated me with respect as I do with him.

Dr Franklin is highly intelligent, caring, and has a dry wit. As a long time chronic migraineur, my experience with Dr F brought me to a new level of ability and comfort. He is the only Neuro doc I have met who regularly attends conferences in multiple specialties of his discipline- including migraine -and takes the time to educate his patient. There is a wait to see him, however it is well worth it.

Dr. Franklin insisted that I had a unique condition which was uncurable and would require meds every day. When I told him my symptoms didn't really match the description of this syndrome, he became very annoyed with me. To make a long story short, my husband took me to another neurologist out of state and on the first visit he determined that my symptoms were from a bad infection. Once placed on an antibiotic my 'permanent condition' went away and I recovered completely.

I can't say enough kind words about Dr Franklin and his PA Carol.. My husband was in ICU and needed a treatment that Dr Franklin only does in his office. When they became aware of my husband's plight, they were able to get what they needed to do the procedure in the hospital. Dr Franklin came in at 9 PM to do the procedure. The next day my husband was moved from ICU after 12 days to a regular room. I will be forever grateful for their help and the relief they have given my husband.

During the visit he answered his cell phone and openly discussed another patient. He did not use names but I heard enough of his conversation to now what he thinks of the patient. I also feel he lacks listening skills as my dad had to explain his issues to him several times. He may know what he is doing as a dr but no bedside manner. I had to give a 1 on everything to show how bad I feel this doctor is.

The office staff is so mean and nasty. Same young girl, 2 days in a row was so uncaring. She nastily told me I needed to have my doctor forward my medical records before she would schedule an appointment & there were no appointments until December. I called the next day because my doctor's office had forwarded the medical records. Again her attitude was so horrible. Well, what insurance do you have? What plan? Trying to weed me out and get me off the phone. Not one ounce of compassion.

I have CMT and he is one of only a few Doctors I've found who has extensive experience with Charcot-Marie-Tooth. 3 Other are neurologist were all but useless for me. His wait time can be a little much, but for a Doctor to spend time with you and explain things as well as he does it is worth the wait. I can't suggest him enough... very knowledgable and helpful.

This was my 1st visit with Dr. Franklin, so I don't know enough for 5 stars. My prior Neurologist is very smart, but my ins changed & he was twice the drive. It's hard to change Drs. I appreciate Dr. Franklin's friendly staff & short wait time(Lobbies are tough for people with TBI, Migraines, etc. Too much Lobby stimulation & I'm a mess) He's calm, thorough, & the first doctor to ask if I am left or right handed. Seems like a Neurology 101 Question, but not asked. He's impressive with detail.

The practice is very busy because there are several doctors who share the office. The wait time is long but he spent an hour with me. I couldn't believe it. I got what I needed. If your time is short, this may not work for you.

Practice seems more centered on milking the insurance companies than on actual patient care. Wait times are long. I no longer feel comfortable with this doctor.
