We LOVE Dr. Michael Forbes! Our son, who is 25 now, has a rare neurodegenerative disorder and has been in Akron Children's Hospital more than 25 times making end of life decisions. Dr. Forbes researched his disorder, consulted with the world-leading doctor in Houston and formulated a plan of care for his file. We are so sad that Akron Childrens will not let our son attend their ICU after the age of 26. Dr. Forbes comes in on his day off, consults with us parents. Sits and discusses everything and makes sure to answer all questions and concerns. Never in a rush! We will miss him for sure!

We have never actually met Dr. Forbes but we received $1427.00 bill from him at Akron General Hospital. My daughter was in the hospital for 4 days, and he checked her charts and apparently that is the going rate for looking at charts. My wife stayed with my daughter and she had no interaction with him either. Yet for spending 5 minutes looking at charts is worth $1427.00. It goes with the $32 Advil that I was charged as well. Crooks!
