Bunion & hammer toe
Dr Donato told me so have an extreme case due to my big toe was at nearly a 45 degree angle and My 2nd toe (hammer toe) was extremely bent upwards. I had originally thought Lapiplasty would help but Dr Donato recommended a similar surgery but not Lapiplasty. Well, 2 months later I am on my feet and beginning to walk-in my Brooks shoes. The scarring is minimal and within a month I should be back to normal. Dr Donato is amazing! He is caring, professional and a wonderful sense of humor. I need my other foot corrected in the same manner and look forward to having him provide the same professional care. Additionally, his staff I’ve met also are wonderful. I totally recommend Dr Donato 100%!!

Used to be great. Now not so good. I went in for an ingrown toenail and a bunion. He fixed the toenail, but never looked at the bunion. Then the girl came in to smooth out my toenails. When I got home I realized she had left jagged edges on most of my toenails. Don't know whats going on there.

I went to Dr. Donato for toenail fungus but then asked questions about orthotics for my running shoes. He spent 45 minutes with me advising on treatment for my toenails as well as orthotics options and their resources on how to run in order to avoid injury. He was extremely knowledgeable and made me aware of running science I'd never encountered even though I've been a runner most of my life. It was a terrific visit and I highly recommend him especially to runners and endurance athletes.

I went in with a problem with my toe. After looking at the X-ray, He immediately comes in talking about an area of my foot that wasn’t the problem. I explained my problem. He said let me take a look at the X-ray again. He then says my toe is broken and I need surgery to have the bone removed. I asked for further imaging with MRI.. Results of the MRI showed no broken bones. I disagreed with his diagnosis. He sent a registered letter telling me I could not come back to Rappahannock Foot and Ankle
