Dr. Michael Czarnecki, MD

I've been many times and the staff and Dr Czarnecik was very professional. Took my concerns and helped me with my medication. Great Doctor. Been my doctor for 2 years.

I never saw DrCzarnecki on either of my 2 visits . I saw his nurse practitioner instead who was very rude to me on my last visit. I feel that when you are referred to a doctor you should be seen by them on your first visit ! I will never be seen by this doctor!

Horrible. Waited over an hour in the lobby. Finally a nurse took me back to a cluttered and dirty office. I told her nothing in my file had changed but she kept asking. After saying unchanged 20 times she stopped. Obviously more concerned with money than me. She then told me I would have to wait on an empty room so I waited some more. Finally she put me into what appeared to be a storage room. It was full of oxygen tanks and old wall posters. The chair next to me was filled with plastic storage containers. It was filthy. She said the Doctor would be right in. Fifteen minutes later I left. I should have known better than to give him a second chance. Was referred to him by my primary care doctor last year. He did a bunch of tests but never gave me the results as promised. Also promised to call in a rx but never did. When I called for the results and to see why the rx was not called in the nurse was very rude. I will never go to this doctor again

Diagnosed my condition wrong and prescribed the wrong medication. He knew better than to do this and should have waited on the test results. I had complications from the medicine, some which may turn out to be long term.

Wish I could give him zero stars. Total jerk! Uncaring and rude! He told my son-in-law (the patient) and daughter "The good thing is you didn't die of COVID-19. The bad thing is you didn't die of covid." Then changed his treatment plan without any explanation as to why. The nurse had to tell them. Different employees at Erlanger East said he is rude like this to everyone and to report him. Avoid this jerk at all costs and spread the word. Erlanger should be ashamed to have such a jerk represent them.

Dr Czarnecki and his Nurse Practitioner and excellent!! The office staff is horrible. I've tried for a week to get a routine prescription refill. Pharmacy asked for refill Monday. Wednesday.....I called Dr. and held 33 minutes before speaking to someone who called back with info that turned out to be not true. Friday I called and held for 46 minutes before hanging up. Called back and held for 21 minutes and was told be the machine I would be 2nd in line wait time 17 minutes. Hung up. Called back held for 10 minutes and machine hung up on me. Not the first time this has happened. Several long hold time in past years. Be aware... Great Doctor but if you ever need to call you're out of luck.

I called to cancel my doctors appointment. The technician asked me why I was canceling. I told her that my daughter had arranged a second opinion appointment with another doctor. The technician told me that if I get a second opinion I could not return to Dr. Czarnecki. So I said ok, I won’t return.

I have been experiencing deteriorating breathing difficulties for 15 years. I have been to two Pulmonologist in Chattanooga, one at Vanderbilt University, two at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, and one at Emory in Atlanta. None of them could diagnosis my problem other than, "old age and I need to drop a few pounds. I have to use a CPAP 16 hours a day. After seeing Dr. Czernecki and running several tests, including a right angiogram by cardiologist Dr. Hood, they discovered I have "Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension," a disease affecting the vessels in my lungs. I am being treated aggressively, trying to slow it down. You will not find a better Pulmonologist anywhere in the country.

Doctor told my lungs were fine. He proceeded to tell me he was ordering more tests and meds for my lungs. He said go to your heart doctor and he would send heart doctor his report right away. Went to heart doctor per Dr Czarnecki recommendation, but no report sent after 8 days Also meds received after 3 weeks. I called to request that he follow up on his promises. He fired me as a patient!! Beware!

Yesterday called to validate our appointment. After long hold time, 3 transfers (told no appointment), spoke to office clerk Wendy who said a letter was sent last Wednesday firing us as patient. Was this an outcome from a call he and I had early last week? I shared how to reduce hold times. Told him a CPAP provider was waiting orders 4 weeks. He said they were being fired. Told him 2nd group had similar issues. He said all due to COVID; not they closed the other 3 offices furloughing staff. I asked nicely for him to call me, but no response. Today, 6 days after the letter, 3rd CPAP provider called saying he just gave our name for a new CPAP yesterday. Why? What would you do if having an appointment, driving 30 - 40 minutes each way to find out the doctor had terminated any relationship without explanation? It is sad he takes offense to a recommendation; then violate his patient duty – is it Hippocratic or hypocritic oath? No wonder so many people rate him as 1 on evaluations.

This Doctor is not someone that can be trusted. He treats patients like they are his money making mashine and like patients don't matter. Very unprofessional and unwilling to listen, nor to give you time. Almost like he is paying you to come in and not vice versa. Maybe he would be a better car dealer because Doctor he is not. If you are about your health do not go to him.

I was a new patient with Copd and Emphysema. This was the worst experience i have ever encountered. The office staff fails to complete necessary paperwork for insurance providers in a timely fashion. Can take weeks, and they refuse to take action even when they are aware of their inadequacies. I feel you are just a number not a person to them. Was prescribed harsh medications on first visit instead of the medications that were working great for me with no tests to justify. When on the phone with my insurance company on 3 way call per my insurance to try and get them to follow up i was treated rudely and told that they would no longer see or help me period. I would highly advise seeking a group that has consideration for the people they make good money on. Very disappointed. I found a real Pulminologist and recommend to all to avoid this group. Their reviews speak for them unquestionably.

Do not use this Dr Czarnecki, he is very incompetent! My daughter seen him for fluid on her lung & had the fluid removed for testing & because he didn’t put it in the orders to be sent off it was discarded. So know we can’t find out What caused the fluid, all he had to say to us was she only 30 she will be fine. Diseases don’t know age! He tried to blame the mess up on the out patient center but it was clearly in the report that he had no orders for it to be sent off. If your wise please find a real pulmonologist it could be life ore death to you!

Saw this doctor while I was hospitalized for 3 days. He spent only 5 minutes with me each day, was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had. This doctor wouldn’t listen to my questions, always talked over me , and in a big hurry. He did not pay attention and gave me misinformation. Now I’m home and get a bill for $1000. Totally ridiculous and I will not see this doctor for follow up, I will go to a professional physician and one who truly cares about me and that I can trust.

Dr Czarnecki is a wonderful doctor. He is very knowledgeable, not only in his own field , but in other medical disciplines as well. He is professional, kind and caring. He listens and spends quality time with you. He diagnosed my issues and quickly found solutions to help me manage my health problems. His staff is also wonderful. They work well with him and I felt that “Dr Mike” and his whole team is dedicated to your health. I know I am in good hands now and I feel so happy to have found him.

An extremely responsive doctor with immediate attention to details and urgency of my issues. I would recommend to anyone that needs a pulmonologist.

He told me that my lungs were fine & I needed a cardiologist. He referred me to a heart doctor that never called me. My PCP referred me to Chattanooga Heart Institute. The doctor there said he believed my problem was my lungs & not my heart. I was given a heart cath and echocardiogram which revealed he was correct. He referred me to a wonderful pulmonologist at Memorial who diagnosed my lung problem and got me better.

His “ office” in in imaging center. Wait time 2.5 hours while he is “ busy” playing with his younger female staff. You wait in the Hallway of imaging center in doorway. He may spend 5-7 minutes in room with patient......only to refer you for many test in same building....? .? Conflict of interest.

2 hour wait to be seen for 7 minutes! No diagnosis, just ordered unnecessary expensive test! Office is in another facility where you sit in the hallway while cans of waste are wheeled past you!
