Great orthopedic experience!
Needed shoulder surgery for work injury and through every step, Dr. Curtin and his staff were supportive, flexible, professional, and encouraging. Although shoulder surgery is one of the most difficult surgeries to have, I am grateful for Dr. Curtin's expertise, attention to detail, and bedside manner. His PA Katie is also extremely knowledgeable and pleasant for follow-up's. Would recommend! Be aware he is highly sought after so patience to get an appointment will be needed.

After waiting almost two month for a scheduled appointment I was informed two weeks prior that it was necessary to reschedule as both the PA and surgeon were unavailable. I was offered 2 available spots 15 minutes apart on the same day and a day, I was not available. My other available option was being scheduled out another 2 months. No thank you. This is an indicator of extremely bad practice and I have chosen to take my concerns elsewhere.

Saw Dr. Curtin for some recurring knee pain and after the MRI he diagnosed me as having a medial meniscus tear and recommended surgery. Dr Curtin performed the surgery on a Friday and after my first PT appointment that following Monday I was able to do a full depth squat at about 95% of my initial range of motion. 4.5 weeks later (today) Dr Curtin cleared me to return to my sporting activities.

Dr Curtin took X-rays and did an MRI on my knee >15 years ago. I am an RN, but he never showed me my x-rays. Said it was a torn meniscus and did surgery. It hurt for 3 more years, until I went to SLC, UT. My hometown. I looked at the old x-rays with another orthopedic specialist. My knee was not even aligned! It was clear I needed a knee replacement, with the other one, done 3 years later, both done in SLC. I was furious! Dr Curtain cost me years of pain and money. I do not recommend!

I am an avid soccer player who plays on 3 Boise soccer teams. I tore my ACL and had it repaired by Dr. Curtin. At the tender age of 55 I am still playing on 3 soccer teams. Dr. Curtin has worked on my wife's, sons and nieces knees as well.

Dr. Curtain wasn't able to treat my problem because his exam showed that my problem was probably in my neck, his professional conduct was excellent and his staff is just as good, although the lady at the front desk might try to smile. I did rate the appointment scheduling low because I had to wait almost 2 months to see the doc. But I think the wait time was well worth it. Thank You.

Dr. Curtin did my shoulder surgery in 2010. I have had excellent results and 6.5 years later, still pain free and going strong. He is conservative in his treatment and instills confidence that once surgery is decided, he is the man for the job. He indeed does have a great bedside manner!
