I know I am a nervous patient upon entering a doctors office; and after only a few minutes I felt more relaxed. Dr Carson earned my trust. He was easy to talk to; showing compassion. Very professional but yet personable.

Our internist of 50 years retired and we needed to find a doctor who is knowledgeable, compassionate and friendly; one who explains test results, choices, and expectations with patience and clarity; one who is available and quick to answer concerns and questions and can see us quickly, if necessary. Our cardiologist highly recommended Dr. Carson. Dr. Carson is an excellent primary care doctor with a personable, caring manner. He has been my doctor for over 20 years and I now see him at his own practice in Manasquan NJ, which is a more relaxed setting where much can be discussed and accomplished during a visit. The unrushed atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff superb. Dr. Carson is highly knowledgeable and up-to-date on the latest meds, conditions, procedures, diagnostics, etc., and readily shares how he determines appropriate treatment. He welcomes and listens to patient questions and input. I particularly appreciate that he isn't an alarmist and works with the patient to figure out the optimal approach to address a medical issue. Based on my experience, I wholeheartedly recommend him to others.

Dr. Carson’s concierge service was exactly what I was looking for. I was frustrated not being able to get appointments at my previous large scale practice and felt rushed through. Dr. Carson gives undivided attention and is extremely thorough.

Dr Carson treated me in a very rude and unprofessional manner. The only reason I was seeing Dr Carson at all was because Maryna Hall was off this day and I needed help, Dr Carson came into the exam room and did not introduce himself. He was involved in texting on his cell phone with his wife and one of his friends. After he set his phone down, he very brusquely introduced me to the poor 3rd year medical student who was I guess supposed to be learning from him. I introduced myself to the young lady and mentioned that I usually saw Maryna Hall.I have had 40 surgeries in my life and far too many Dr visits. I can safely say that Dr Carson's manner may have been the most unprofessional I have yet experienced.Shame on me for not saying something to him then and there.David Pletzner

Dr. Carson is knowledgeable and thorough. He interfaced well with my oncologist, which made me feel safe. Unfortunately, his office (and the unpredictable traffic patterns) necessitated that I find a physician closer to my new residence.

Great doctor! Really listens and offers explanations in a reassuring and easily understandable way without being condescending. He is personable and funny and never rushes appointments.

Very knowledgeable and thorough, spends all the time needed. When he's had questions during an appointment, he's called other doctors while I'm there to get answers immediately. The only thing I can think that might be less than ideal for some people is that he can talk very quickly and multi-tasks (listens to you and asks questions while typing in information and looking at records). But he really seems able to do that and thoroughly listen and concentrate.
