I trusted Dr Brown, literally with my life, as he has treated me for liver issues for about 20 years. I was very sad recently to find out that he has retired. The gentleman that took over for him (Dr Youseff) has not impressed me. I have managed to get an appointment with him but I am almost certain that I will be using it to get referred to someone who has experience with advanced liver disease.

I knew about Dr. Brown and his reputation even though I had another GI Doctor at the time. My esophagus was so bad I had not eaten in 3 months and 2 or 3 months before that was on very soft foods. He was able to make sure the Cancer was gone and able to enlarge my esophagus in one procedure. The other Doctor had failed 2 or 3 times to enlarge it. Anyway a week after seeing him I was eating soft foods but way more variety than before and stuff I liked. In a month I was able to eat most things.

I have been a patient of Dr Michael Brown’s for over 30 years, for serious GI problems with a multitude of complications. Prior to coming to HSV 30+ years ago, I never had a more knowledgeable, caring GI Dr than Dr Brown. He literally saved my life through two hospitalizations... if there’s anything weird to get, I’ll get it, and he always gets me through it..he is so on top of current meds and treatments, always following up and monitoring every step of the way. Trust him with my life !

I went to see Dr. Brown for IBS symptoms. After a quick discussion with him in the in the office, he scheduled lab work to rule out other issues. Everything came back normal, however there was no follow up appt. for IBS. The nurse was rude and the office staff as well. I felt like I was just another patient and not worth his effort to help. The lab work was sent to an out of network provider and now I owe the full $300 amount. My symptoms are worse and I have no answers. I plan to go elsewhere.

Dr. Brown was a godsend. He listened to me and trusted that I knew my own body and created a specific treatment plan that has been on almost a hundred percent effective. I also wante to thank Dr Brown for pushing to get a medication that has dramatically improved my condition. I have not felt as good as I do now in 8 years. Thank you Dr Brown
