This doctor implanted a pump for automatic delivery of medicine via a spinal catheter he did not connect the catheter to the pump. Lack of this medicines has severe consequences including death. I moved to another state temporarily and connected with a renowned Dr. And she showed me on a live scan that the pump was not connected and was curled outside of the spinal column. No medicine was being delivered to me for one year. Upon return to CO, during an appointment with the same Dr. I told him about the Arizona Dr. found. He had no response! Dr. Brown was the only Dr in Ft Collins through CU Healthcare That provided Backlofen pump maintenance! Months later after billing issues that he would not address I contacted the CEO CU Healthcare to rectify the direct charging of me for Medicare approved drug and services. It took several months to fix the billing error. It was stressful being the “ hot potato” and told not me call xx then no, not us, call xx. It took six months to resolve

Beware of this Dr and pain management office. – Apr 04, 2023

Hard no
I sought treatment with this provider for severe arthritic neck pain in 2021. Doctor Brown spoke to me for approximately five minutes during my initial visit to his office. I was scheduled for an ablation which requires pre treatment before the ablation can be done. After the first two procedures, I had significant pain and tried to contact the office but no one returned my calls for several days. On the day of my first procedure the doctor noticed it was my birthday and loudly pronounced that for my birthday he was going to take my pain away. I had a severe pain reaction and called his office for two days without a call back. Eventually the office employees conferred with each other and told me to go to the ER. I arrived for my first ablation procedure at a pain level 8 and when I told the doctor that I couldn’t continue living in such terrible pain, he literally screamed at me that he wasn’t going to prescribe pain meds. I have been in terrible pain ever since the ablation.

Accidents Happen
Dr. Michael Brown changed my life. Before I met him I was debt free and had a job. I went to see him for a steroid injection in my neck and left with a spinal cord puncture that has left me recovering physically and financially for over a year now. He attempted two procedures to stop the leak but admittedly didn't know what he was doing. Thankfully my knight in shining armor, Dr. Girardi, knew what to do and was there for me to clean up Dr. Brown's mistakes. I lost my job, have a huge mound of medical debt, and a year later am not fully recovered. Dr. Brown may be a sweet person, but if you're looking for someone that knows what he's doing go see Dr. Girardi.

Dr. Brown and his entire team are the worst of the worst here in Fort Collins where he practices with Front Range Pain Medicine. They are eminently inept and incompetent. From my first appointment onward. I came with a complete, exceptionally well laid out and functioning pain management plan from my previous pain management physician who retired. Brown just aborted it (never read it), to do his own non-cogent, baseless and aberrant "pain management program." Brown, his PA, RN or other practitioners in the group never referenced any background documents and information from my other physicians including my PCP regarding how I got to where I was and therein acquiring a complete understanding and perspective from previous pain management attempts including, and not limited to, any other underlying medical conditions. Moreover, the front desk to Dr. Brown and his immediate staff are above being questioned about your care. They're bellicose, arrogant, self-righteous, and indignant.

I've been a patient of Dr. Brown's for over seven years. He's always treated me with compassion, kindness and professionalism. He takes time to listen, doesn't mind answering my questions, provides the information I need to make an informed decision and I'm confident in the care I receive from him. I've always found the staff to be courteous, friendly and helpful.

Showed up with plan from referring Doctor. Dr. Brown decided to not follow. Dr. Brown lays out a plan, and doesn't follow it either. Fell through the cracks (dysfunctional staff) with office forgetting to schedule me to the next phase of my procedure. Since he doesn't care for my feedback - he sent me an impersonal letter "discharging" me from his practice. Seems this Doctor feels a threat from an informed patient who doesn't blindly act like a cow being herded through his practice. Beware!

Arrogant. Condescending. I've never felt that he listened, or cared what I've had to say, He refused to even glance at recent radiology reports that I brought to my appt. - even though related to my additional pain - that could have been better addressed in my upcoming planned cervical procedures with him - had he bothered to take notice.

Dr Brown shows absolutely no compassion for me or the pain I have been in with 2 herniated disks. I explained that I have been unable to work for three months due to spikes of pain from my back through my hips and down my right leg. I had fallen 6 times and a nerve test they gave revealed significant damage. I have been calling for 2 weeks to get them to send more information to my insurance about why I need a second MRI done {I had one 3-1/2 months ago} Dr B says I gave them enough. Bad news

Absolutely terrible "professional" and healthcare provider. Aside from scheduled appointments there almost no chance of being helped or seen if anything medically related should something come up, He is condescending and arrogant unwilling to help even when the medical issue is within the his scope of practice and his duty as a medical provider. If you are in need of finding a pain manangenent medical professional seek another provider please!

I needed to get my Baclofen pump replaced, due to battery life of the old pump. Dr. Brown has been kind and compassionate at all of my visits. He made time to squeeze me into his schedule to get my pump replaced very quickly. He always takes time to answer questions, and genuinely cares about the health and well-being of his patients. Dr. Brown is not only a great doctor, he is also a very nice man! I would, definitely, recommend Dr. Brown to others.

Patronizing. Talked to me like I was 6yrs old. Canned lines, When I see (fill in the blank) I know (prepared speech). I wonder how many patients have been told the sandwich story. Made us uncomfortable with wide-eyed, unblinking stare.
