Thorough
I recently saw Dr Birman to discuss surgery on my left thumb for end stage OA. He thoroughly explained the surgery as well as recovery expectations. In April of this year he performed the same procedure on my right thumb and I am very pleased with the outcome. In addition, I have found it is easy to make an appointment without having to wait for extended period of time.

Good care
I became a new patient on short notice, but Dr. Birman and the staff were very accommodating, cordial, and helpful. While the cause of my condition was not fully known, Dr. Birman explained the possibilities and why certain treatments (incl. Rx) were advised. I believe the prescribed medications have improved my condition already. He also sent me to his Physical Therapy department, which was very helpful in adjusting my brace—kind of them to help with an item they had not prescribed. All in all, they took good care of me.

A kind, professional physician
Dr. Birman surgically repaired my shattered wrist so that it is now useful and mostly pain-free. He provides clear explanations and is always patient in his care & treatment. The rest of the staff is also very helpful and efficient.

Very through
Dr. Birman suggested an MRI of my shoulder after examining me on the first visit. The previous doctor I had seen did not suggest one. Dr. Birman gave me a cortisone shot which helped temporarily and then suggested physical therapy for my frozen shoulder. After two months the shoulder is about 95% better. I would strongly suggest Dr. Birman. He is very understanding and courteous and a good diagnostician.

Dr Birman is very knowledgeable and charming.
Very knowledgeable and charming. Went above and beyond to make sure my right hand was fully functional. Not to mention that it's been less than a month from surgery, and the scar is invisible. Don't be deceived that he looks very young. Highly recommended.

Look at all the one star reviews. This guy is more an independent medical examiner for insurance companies. Why? Because he gets compensated for lying for insurance companies. For a few. I know he doesn’t get many regular customers, that’s why he does IME’s Look at him , he’s s loser. If you have a choice look for someone more qualified. Theirs a million better doctors. True !

I was very worried regarding the repair of a cut tendon to my thumb...until I was first examined by Dr Birman. He put me at easy and instilled great confidence in the eventual outcome. Everything he said was right and the repair and recovery went extremely well. Dr. Birman is kind, caring, gentle and skilled, with a great 'bedside manner'. He spends all the time necessary, throughout the entire recovery process. His follow up is excellent.
