Dr. Michael Barakat, DO

I saw Dr. Barakat for broken ribs. He had great bedside manner and cared a lot about how I was feeling. He personally called me to check in the next day. Above and beyond the care I expect from a busy ER Department. Thank you!

Not happy with his ability to listen to his patients concerns and treat the conditions that the patient is experiencing. He did not provide thorough, accurate and unbiased care. So glad I went for second opinion because I knew this Drs diagnosis was questionable. Get you a second opinion!!!

This evening I was in a great amount of pain. After I arrived in the ER, I was assigned to Dr Barakat as my physician. Dr Barakat was kind, empathetic and knowledgeable. He addressed all of my problems, as well as listened carefully to my concerns. He had a high regard as to how I felt throughout my visit with him. Dr Barakat consulted a specialist on site who is now able to thoroughly address my spine issue weeks or perhaps months earlier than my current referral to neurology through my sports orthopedic group. I am very grateful for Dr Barakat’s excellent care, and would request him again as my doctor in the ED at Texas Heath Harris Methodist Hospital, should the need arise. Dr Barakat is knowledgable and experienced and most importantly has not lost sight of the caring concern needed to see, listen and meet his patients individualized needs.
