I had emergency surgery, Dr. Alapat came highly recommended. Had a laminectomy done was free from pain immediately after surgery. He is very skilled warm, compassionate I would highly recommend him .

He did my mom's Spinal Fusion and Laminectomy. He carefully explained the risks so mom could make the right decision for her. The surgery was successful beyond all expectations.

Went to Dr. Alapatt for a lower back spinal fusion.When he heard of my prior cervical injury from 1988 and reviewed MRI of my neck and lower back, he said the compression so severe in my neck he needed to fuse that first.I had both surgeries this year. I haven't felt so good since 1988.I am 68 years old, working out 4 times a week and feel great.Definitely trust Dr. Alapatt.

I was experiencing pain and occasional numbness in my left leg. Dr. Alapatt was able to pinpoint my problem on ex rays . He explained the necessary procedure very well, was easy to talk to and answered all my questions.The doctor did a wonderful job with my surgery and I experienced a positive outcome. dr alapatt is extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, caring, patient and a very good listener. i felt like he took the time to get to know me and my needs. he answered all of my questions no matter how silly they were. surgery was my very last option. i tried everything to avoid surgery (injections, PT, meds, etc). everyone has a different body, so every case is different. when meeting with dr alapatt, he took the time to listen to my experiences and problems with MY BACK. he then gave me his advice as to how to handle my case. most doctors give a general explanation. i would DEFINITELY recommend dr alapatt if you need back surgery. his office staff in both of his offices were very kind and helpful. thank u dr alapatt for giving me faith in doctors and surgeons again!

Recently, I was referred to Dr. Alapatt for consultation for actue back and neck pain from a prior injury. Dr, Alapatt diagnosed my x-rays and explained my options for treatment. Upon discussing my surgery, he was very meticulous in details and how he could relieve this crippling pain through surgery. Finally, Dr. Alapatt and his team successfully performed my surgery, and on the very next day I was completely without pain in my nerves, back and neck. I had really bad neck and spine pain. Tingling all over my body. When I meet Dr. Alapatt he was very knowledgeable and explained thoroughly my MRI, treatment and expectations. He has an awesome bed side manner as well that puts you at ease. Fast forward 9 months after my operation I am fully recovered and pain free. I got my life back. Amazing. Dr.Alapatt is a great Doctor and person everyone I spoke to had nothing but great things to share about him He checked on me every day I was in the hospital even called both my brother and sister after my surgery and made them feel good that I was in good hands and the surgery went well .Thanks to him he seen the issues I was having and pain and frustration resulting from a failed c3c4 replacement and fusion and a 567fusion the other doctors said there was nothing else they could do for me.Thank God for Dr Alapatt I'm healing comfortably and looking foward to getting my life back thanks Doc.

Listen: I think Dr Alapatt is highly qualified, & I'm sure surgeon as well, I do NOT recommend NJ Spine Center of Chatham, unless you want wrongful information (dates wrong) submitted to your insurance, no phone calls returned from the staff, and forget about getting your finances straightened out, I had many questions after my 2 year'treatment' with them and they simply kept billing me without answering several letters,phone calls,etc HORRIBLE service(I'm referring to their administrative end of things), also, I was mis-diagnosed with my condition: they put me through 2 sets of epidural shots (no effect,which is possible in any case to happen) but after going for another opinion: the Dr saw how I was walking and quickly took an x-ray of my hips: long story short: no sever back issues: I had (hereditary) severe arthritis in my hips! Continued with the hip surgeon at this other facility(somerset NJ) with an amazing pain free double hip surgery & ultra fast recovery! TAKE hip xrays!

Dr Alapatt is one of the most caring compassionate doctors I have ever seen. I first met Dr. Alapatt in a hospital emergency room when I broke my C1. During every visit he spent the time to answer every question I had. He took his time to clearly explained every step of the long recovery. He never made me feel rushed. He equally showed concern for my mental well being knowing how it would be difficult wearing a neck brace for several months and having to limit my activities.

My husband had a spinal fusion in June 2019 by Dr. Michael Alapatt. Prior to surgery he was in severe pain with difficulty walking.
