Dr. Mendel Markowitz, DDS

The office in Clifton, NJ was modern, clean, and well equipped. I had multiple complicated extractions done under anesthesia. Everything was explained and my questions fully answered. The roughly 45 minute procedure went well and took only about 60% of the estimated time. I experienced no pain or complications afterward and healed quickly.I cannot recommend him enough.

Dr. Markowitz is incredibly kind, understanding and compassionate with masterful skill as he extracted my tooth nicely. Made sure i had no pain and calmed me the whole process. Absolutely amazing. Thank you Sir!

I had a toothache on a Saturday morning. I called Doctor Markowitz office for an appointment . His answering service answered and said the Dr will get in touch. Dr M called me 15 minutes later and said “how about 8am tomorrow “ I told him tomorrow is Sunday . Will you see me on Sunday morning? Dr said I will be there. I don’t like to have patients in pain. Sunday came and I went to the doctors office in Clifton. Dr M was there and was very professional. He didn’t rush anything . He showed me where my problem was, gave me options, chatted about them, and I made a logical decision to have this tooth pulled. Tell me, when was the last time you had any doctor come in his office to help you at 8 am on a Sunday morning!! This clearly explains the dedication Dr Markowitz has for his profession and his patients. Great person and great dentist.

First time here for two extractions and I was super nervous seeing someone who wasn’t my regular dentist (he was on vacation). I was so glad I came here and that Dr. Markowitz and his staff provided me with excellent service, a great bedside manner, and care. I think it took longer to wait and get numb then the actual process of extracting. It was over before I knew it! Totally painless!!! I only needed Advil once after and nothing stronger than that. I would highly recommend him and his team for any oral surgery/dental needs. Thank you!

Our experience with Dr. Markowitz was amazing. He removed all 4 of my son's wisdom in less than an hour! My son did not feel any discomfort or pain during the process, and was able to get up right after the surgical procedure and function well without any assistance. The healing process was superb. Minimal swelling and pain. Back to a relatively normal schedule within a day or two. We would definitely recommend Dr. Markowitz! Very experienced and a pleasure to deal with!

I can't find enough good words to thank Dr. Markowitz and his stuff ! They practically saved my son's life when he came for the emergency visit with the misdiagnosed by other dentists infection.

It took only 15 minutes to get my wisdom teeth extracted and there was no swelling at all. Besides a bit of discomfort after the first day, there was no pain and I was back to normal, ready to work.

Wow, what a great experience! I was upset to find out from my dentist that my front teeth were cracked. I was concerned as I live in Long Island and he sent me to NJ (past Manhattan where all the expensive oral surgeons are) to Dr. M. His staff was fantastic and fit me into a next day appt. Dr. M was wonderful. He painlessly extracted my teeth, placed bone grafts and my implants. My dentist was thrilled with the implants! Whenever he has a difficult case he sends it to Dr. M to be done right!

Dr. Mendel positioned my dental implant very poorly, it is about 5mm below the gum line and too far forward on a steep angle. He said he "Put it where the bone was", and I thought I had gone to someone to build bone where it was needed. After seeing three other dentist I was able to use the implant, but the tooth is much taller and too far forward, it was the best they could do with the implant position. I would recommend finding someone to do both the implant and the crown.

Dr. Markowitz is the consummate professional. I had an extraction, bone graft, and the placement of an implant with absolutely no discomfort. The best experience I've ever had for dental work...
