Hostile staff
Dr Kuwahara is smart & thorough, but she definitely rushes you and has a very impersonal, very surfacy demeanor, always rushing you. She is young, but she’s a smart doctor. The rest of her staff is very nice, but Summer in particular is straight up mean to everyone. Very much a bully & a tita. They also still have a mask policy, they do not provide masks & will reschedule you if you don’t have a mask. It’s 2025, it’s been common knowledge that masks are highly unsanitary & do not stop the spread of any virus, but in fact cause a slew of other health problems. Why do doctors wear surgical masks in surgery? To protect themselves & others from bodily fluids, not viruses. Common researchable knowledge. Do better Dr Kuwahara.

Professional & Caring
Dr. Kuwahara went above and beyond to assist me with my complicated ongoing irregular bleeding issue. Her staff was so gentle and kind hearted. I cannot say enough of the professional treatment shown to me. She guided me safely through consultations and checkups, ultra sounds that led to a minor surgery and then a major surgery. She explained every option and every step assuring me the entire way. I’m in my early 50’s and these were my 1st and 2nd surgical experience. So, you can imagine the stress and concerns of the unknown. She was able to do the minor surgery perfectly but it didn’t help so a major surgery was done and she was able to do internally and it was done with outstanding results. I couldn’t have gone through with it without her continual kindness and assurances. She helped to heal a problem that I had for so many years. I’ve cried since as it was a heavy burden to carry for so long. It’s been maybe 2 years since those procedures and I have had no issues or complications.

RUDENESS PART 3
When I told her June, before I could tell her when in June, she went and scheduled and gave me a card to have me leave. When I looked at the card it was for an appt on Wednesday when my scheduled procedure was Friday. I then went inside to let them know I can’t make Wednesday due to work and they said well that’s how it works for pre-op. Wouldn’t it have been nice to be told these things from the person scheduling me? It would definitely be since I DONT WORK THERE NOR KNOW THEIR PROCEDURES. I have been to several doctors offices growing up here, but never have I ever been to a more unprofessional and rude office staff. I have never left a doctors office in tears from being given such a rude and unprofessional attitude. It’s an OBGYN OFFICE, shouldn’t we feel safe and taken cared of instead of just another “cash cow “ for this office to use and schedule whenever they like without consideration for any patients work and life schedules? I would NEVER recommend this office to anybody.

She’s ok. Her staff is ridiculous. I had an infection while I was pregnant and needed medication. Her staff gave some dumb excuse to why I didn’t get it, and I had to wait 2 weeks. No fun and sore. Another time I requested for medication and the staff said they were planning to send over. Ended up having to go to store pay out of pocket for the medication and the staff only sent out the medication few weeks later when I needed it that day, to top that it was the wrong med. I also requested a certain BC, she said she couldn’t get it for me due to my insurance not covering it. I went to a different OBGYN who actually cared and was able to get it for me. Kuwahara no like do the paper work obviously. Ridiculous, I second to the person saying they treat you like cattle.

I love Dr. Kuwahara and her staff. In my experience, they make sure they answer any and all questions that you have and double check with others if they don't have the answer. Definitely would recommend her to others.

I was referred to Dr. Kuwahara after an emergency room visit diagnosed me with a large ovarian cyst. She has always been professional, knowledgeable, and kind. She is very flexible and happy to explain to her patients. My procedure went better than expected with minimal complications, and I am healing up nicely. I trust her knowledge, experience, and judgement. I feel heard and respected as a patient.

Dr kuahara as well as the staff are very rude as well as inconsiderate . Very bad patient service with snobby attitudes. They are deffinetly lacking in aloha. This is a very young doctor that does not treat patients with respect, care, and love. Please look else where because they are very inconsiderate . If you want to be treated like cattle. This is for you.
