Dr. Melissa Ehm Pote, DO

Melissa Ehm Pote did not take my symptoms or concerns seriously. She compared me to her daughter on multiple occasions; didn’t listen and dismissed me. I didn’t feel like she cared about me or what I was going through. I didn’t feel like she was a good advocate for me as a patient of hers for almost a decade. I fired her from my team.

I have only seen her for a couple well visits and have been pleased with my experience. She takes time to listen and I don't feel rushed.

Dr. Pote is very educated, explains things very well, is supportive, very thorough, and provides holistic multi-disciplinary medical care. She always communicates the plan of care, and gives the patient control of their plan and what they are comfortable with. Very professional, personable, compassionate, and is the only doctor that I would literally trust my life with. She has been a blessing!!

She always takes the time to really know what is going on and listen to your needs. I saw her for my annual exams starting last year. She doesn’t push meds (the reason I left my previous doctor), but seeks out what the best option for you. She takes the time to understand what you say, then explains everything well.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Pote for a second opinion on some medical things that are going on with me. I wasn't satisfied with my primary doctors thoughts because he just pushed them off and decided they were because of an old problem. When I came into the office, Dr. Pote listened, asked questions, took notes, and actually LISTENED to my concerns. She was very thorough with all of her questions and next steps and validated my concerns. It was a breath of fresh air! She was amazing!
