Excellent Surgeon
Dr. Hass performed an umbilical hernia repair and fixed my diastasis recti all via a minimally invasive surgery. Both conditions were brought on by pregnancy 8 years prior, and I had waited long enough. She made me feel comfortable, safe, and she even seemed excited to do the surgery and help me feel strong again. She’s intelligent and passionate about what she does. Everything went well, and though the recovery isn’t fun, I’m so thankful for her skill and care with her work, I am able to move with ease and my core is building strength again. I would recommend Dr. Melinda Hass 100%.

I had an umbilical hernia repair on 2/17/22. The surgery went fine, however after the surgery I was in awful pain I went to the express care so that all of my records were within Unity point, I was told that they couldn't prescribe me anything stronger than the opiate that I had been given after the surgery. That doctor prescribed me numbing patches it helped mildly. The next day the pain was unbearable so I went to the Unity Point ER in Bettendorf the ER doctor was nice and helped me with my pain. He told me that he had called the surgeon who was on call to have her come and look at my incisions. Upon Dr Hass arrival she was extremely rude. She had the audacity to say to me and I quote "I don't know who you conned into giving you that med, but that is not a med that we prescribed for this type surgery. Then she put that the reason for my visit was due to complications from chronic opiate abuse. I am in the process of having this amended from my record.
