Seeking relief? YOU WON’T GET ANY
If you’re seeking relief, don’t come here. I was referred to Dr. Ketchandji from my primary care provider (PCP) for a large kidney stone. I ended up having surgery. Long story short, after the surgery they didn’t give any after care instructions or what to expect. The recovery period was over a weekend, & I called Monday seeking a different type of nausea medicine. I waited almost 5 hours for a “callback from the nurse” even though I called to check on the status a couple of times. They finally contacted me at the VERY end of the office working hours of course, & they literally told me (after stringing me along all day) “if it’s that bad, just go to the E.R.”…like what?! Are you serious?

Dangerous Diagnosis Doctor
I Strongly advise Getting a second opinion ASAP before making any health decisions based on what this 'doctor' has to say. I have a laundry list of reasons this doctor should not be allowed to work in a hospital; too many to list. But my point in writing this review is to let anyone who has consulted with her about thier medical records, test results, procedure notes, future procedure plans, please please please seek a second opinion or different MD all together. I am a greaful family member of one of her ex-patients, who was fortunate enough to have skilled doctors that decided not to take her advise or test results and redo her procedures, producing completely different results. She is NOT a cancer specialist and should not be allowed to consult anyone when it comes to cancer. Best of luck!

Outstanding Care and Solution!
Dr. Ketchandji was recommended to me by my physician, and it turned out to be the perfect recommendation for me. I was scheduled for an office visit within just a few weeks at the Hillcrest location. I found her staff to be very courteous and professional. Dr. Ketchandji made me feel very comfortable when relating my symptoms, she listened to me very carefully, discussed possible treatments and then we decided on the single incision sling operation. The surgery went very smoothly. I have had my post op consultation, I am healing well, I cannot complain of pain - only soreness for the first week after surgery, plus my problem is now nonexistent (which is like a miracle after having to deal with a situation that worsened with every year). I am very appreciative of the very thorough, kind, and knowledgeable treatment I received from Dr. Ketchandji - I would highly recommend her to anyone.

The worst
I was referred to Dr Ketchandji by the hospital. I had went to the ER unable to urinate and was hospitalized. First off, the wait time was long and the staff was unfriendly. She came in the room and immediately decided that I had MS, even though my only symptom was that I couldn’t urinate, she asked me several questions and even though i told her I wasn’t having certain symptoms she insisted that I did. She then had me undress and removed the catheter. She proceeded to try to perform a pelvic exam and she was by no means gentle. She made a rude comment because she was unable to perform the exam. She then told the nurse to show me how to use catheters. When I expressed my concerns about being unable to do so, she told her nurse that if I couldn’t figure it out, then to just put a Foley catheter back in. Fortunately I managed to get it on the first try and urine squirted all over the nurse. It was actually satisfying because of how rude they had been. By the way, I had cancer , not MS!

Finding correct diagnosis and effective treatment
I got the treatment I needed from Dr. Ketchandji. Some diagnoses take time and diligence to find. And her willingness to recommend an unusual treatment was rewarding. I recommend waiting to speak to her directly rather than through staff. She is a very fine physician.

Dr Ketchandji has given me a new quality of life. She stayed with treatment until the right procedure would be effective and as I stated allowed me to have my life back again. I always felt she had a real concern for my health issues and always had the time for me. I already have recommended her to several people.

Received pelvic organ repair from Dr. Melanie and it was the best decision I ever made with my health. She is very professional, great bedside manner, and listened to my concerns from the first visit; I never felt rushed. Before the surgery she told me to do my research and come back with my decision. I was satisfied with the options and had it done. It's been 4 months as of this day. I feel so much better inside and am amazed my back pain is almost totally gone. Putting everything back into place was the solution. I recovered well, no side effects. She will follow my progress for two years (that's when something can go wrong, but I don't expect any). I am thrilled with the results and am so glad I was referred to Dr. Melanie.

I felt Dr. Ketchandji was excellent and very knowledgeable. I had surgery over a week ago , the stent was very painful and I was having some concerns. She got me in right away with her nurse practitioner Jamie breedlove which she also was very caring. Her and Dr. Ketchandji removed the stent and now I feel so much better. Thank you for taking care of me. I will go back to her to do my other kidney . Sandra day

Dr. Ketchandji performed surgery on me yesterday and I was able to come home today with no problems. She is not only the nicest person but extremely knowledgeable. She discovered a severe infection that I didn't know I had and got it cleared up quickly. She talked to me about my options and let me try several options. I chose surgery when I was finally able to take off work for awhile. I already know that it was the best decision. Thank you Dr. Ketchandji for giving me back my life,

She was the worst. My husband was in the ER for a total blockage kidney stone and another stone still in the kidney. She didn't even see him except for in the preop room for 5 minutes before taking him back for surgery. She also told us that she was putting in a Stent and removing the stones. Well, she did not remove the stones and only put in a stent THEN had him come in 2 weeks later for another surgery to remove the stone. It was an absolute nightmare! He ended up having to take extra time off work and we are having to pay two surgical bills for something that should have been and we were told was going to be done in the first surgery. On top of that, we have received the bill and there are charges on it that never even occurred. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone for anything! He also went in as a walk-in to the clinic and we were told there were no doctors there. 2 weeks following his second surgery he passed 2 more kidney stones when we were told they were all removed. AVOID HER!

My wife went in to the hospital for a kidney stone and kidney infection caused by the kidney stone. Dr. Ketchandji put a stent in and told us that she would do laser lithotripsy on the stone in 2 weeks allowing the stent time to dilate the ureter. Upon the follow up visit, she told us that she would do a shockwave lithotripsy 3 weeks after she put the stent in. We then looked for a second opinion where we learned they would have left the stent in for 2-3 days before breaking up the stone.
