Have had continual care over several years. Always prepared for my visit, has reviewed history, current tests and has explored many avenues in relationship to my medical problems. Have seen in person and telehealth. Excellent specialist and I have many.

Horrible medical provider
Worst medical provider I have even encountered. First and only visit with her, exhibited no kindness or compassion, said my husband was anemic, prescribed him Vitamin B-12 and wondered if he wasn’t just depressed and charged close $500 for the visit. My husband is now in hospice.

Dr.Dong Needs Communication Workshops!
Dr.Dong tells me what she's going to do & doesn't ask or allow for any conversation. She doesn't provide any opportunity for me to express my concerns, thoughts or feelings. To clarify, she talks at me and seems very unsettled when I ask questions anyway or am seeking additional information. In fact, I had waited 3 months to see her & after being in the room 5 minutes she headed towards the door and before she exited said,'I have another patient who is here, so if there's nothing else'? She didn't wait for my response. I learned from my next appt that this is how she exits a room. With my other appts she was extremely rushed, no bedside manners & no compassion/empathy.I highly suggest that Dr.Dong participate in some extensive training on how to provide compassionate care. It's clear from reading these comments that I'm not alone in my horrible experiences w/ Dr.Dong. It's nice to know I'm not alone in my experience. I hope the clinic takes this seriously!

More like ding dong
If I could give her a 0 I would. Dr Dong was horrible from the minute she opened the door in the exam room. Clearly didn’t read the patient chart cuz she was saying stuff about surgery that wasn’t factual. Then she get one tear back and calls to give bad news over the phone at dinner time. But that’s not the worst part. She actually cancelled the cancer id pathology test that would have helped design treatment for a patient that urgently needs it. We will never go back and I suggest people find another doc if you’ve been referred to her.

Uninformative, Impersonal and...
I found Dr. Dong to be very uninformative, impersonal and lacking in communication skills. I never felt like I had her full attention and our appointments always seemed rushed.

Dr. Mei Dong is an outstanding doctor. I've been her patient for two and a half years. She's excellent at answering my questions and always concerned that I understand all aspects of my treatment. She's very involved in my care and works well with all my other specialists in my treatment. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor and count myself blessed to have her as my physician and friend. I was diagnosed with stage four colorectal cancer in Oct. Of 2018.

Our experience with Dr Dong was appalling. She brought no compassion or sympathy, shared very little knowledge of his condition leaving us with tons of questions and no genuine interest in helping us understand, adding more stress to an already very stressful situation. Her inability (or is it, refusal?) to provide us with any treatment options except to try to make him comfortable until he died from the cancer in his stomach is upsetting!! She kept making reference to his age of 84 and being too weak to receive treatment. Yes, he is 84 but just as active as a 64 year old with a lot of to live for. Do not take your loved one or yourself to Dr. Dong. It is dangerous and a waste of your precious time!!
