Dr. Megan Gillem, DO

My husband and I were patients of Dr. Gillem. She is a great doctor, IF you can see her. We saw her for about half of our appointments. One time I got sick and the earliest she could see me was 30 days out. Another time I got sick, and they made an apt with her associate. I sat in the waiting room for an hour before being called back, then another hour waiting in the room. The last 45 minutes of waiting, I could hear the associate in the adjoining room laughing and talking with another patient, so I left. Last week my husband got sick. He called and called and called, but no answer. Finally, we drove to the office. They didn't answer the phone because they were upgrading their system. Then nobody could see my husband until at least one week out. My husband called a tele-doctor who told him to go to the emergency room because she felt like he had a staph infection. He spent 3 days in the hospital. Then Dr G started calling him to come see her. Nope, we've changed doctors.

I love that she works with my holistic approach to health and encourages my progress. She takes time to listen to and address my concerns.

I've been a patient of Dr. Gillem for several years, and even though I live about an hour away now, I stay with her. She's kind, warm, attentive, and truly listens to my concerns. All that is in addition to her medical savvy and intelligence - nearly impossible to find all this in a healthcare provider! She takes great care with my elderly parents as well and is very patient (on every one of my visits, she asks me how they are first thing!) My father recently passed. She was truly sad about that, and tells her colleagues how fond of him she was. I've referred several friends to Dr. Gillem, and they all agree. One friend absolutely refuses to see any other doctor! I later discovered that she and her family are long time friends of my husband's family, so I happen to have even better knowledge of her upstanding character. I recommend her highly. In a world where medical professionals are stressed, rushed and urged to see more and more patients for the "bottom line", she's a rarity.

She is the best Dr I have ever had, I didn't feel rushed, and she addressed all my concerns.

Dr. Gillem is easily the best primary care physician I have ever had. She is personable, takes the time to listen to you, and is focused on providing a comprehensive and genuine level of care. I left my previous physician because he would rush in the room, barely listen to me and then rush off to his next payday. Dr. Gillem is the exact opposite and listens to what I have to say, addresses any concerns I have, and takes a genuine interest in my wellbeing.

She is INCREDIBLE! I’ve never had a doctor allow me to have a say so in my own care, until I saw her. I have sent MANY friends to Dr G. I have not seen her in a coupe of years due to a change in insurance, but I HIGHLY recommend her! She’s simply amazing!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Gillem for a couple of years now and she is phenomenal. The nurse that works alongside her, Donna, is equally wonderful and kind. Dr. Gillem has great bedside manner and is always happy to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone!

She's my primary and is absolutely phenomenal.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gillem for a little over three years and embarrassed that I haven't left a review before now. Dr. Gillem is an amazing doctor. She listens and answers all my questions in a way that is easily understood. She truly cares about the health of her patients. She has built an awesome team of professionals who equally care. I can't recall ever being delayed for an appointment or waiting long periods of time to see her. Her bedside manner is second to none. I have recommended her to several friends.

My Mother of 93 and was being taken care of by Dr Gillem and I was so impressed by her and her staff in the care of my Mom, that I switched Doctors. Dr Gillem is now my PCP Doctor. She is a great listener and seems genuinely interested in my health. She always takes the time to answer all of my concerns regarding my health. I would highly recommend her to my friends and family.

Dr. Gillem is the best Doctor I have ever been to. She is kind and always listens to every issue I have, no matter how small. I feel so cared for with her and her staff. Wait time is usually under 5 minutes in my experience. I would recommend her to anyone!

I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews about Dr.Gillem.I visited Dr.Gillem, at the MCNT in flower mound.When approaching the front desk a friendly greeted me.After a short waiting period I was called into the examination room where the doctor’s assistant made me feel at ease while asking routine health history questions.Shortly thereafter Dr.Gillem completed a physical exam.Dr.Gillem is thorough patient and a good listener.Thank you Dr.Gillem and staff for making me feel so comfortable!

Dr Gillem takes her time with the patients. My father in law is 84 and he has some health issues that Dr Gillem has been able to treat him for. He really is impressed with her care of him.

I am very particular about my Dr's. They have to be on top of their game and Dr. Gillem, along with her staff fits the bill. She's smart, personable and knowledgeable.

She is kind and easy to talk to. She takes time to listen and responds with appropriate advice. She is NOT in a hurry to leave and gives the patient ample time to discuss issues. She really seems to care about her patient. I feel cared for and safe having put my medical care in her hands. She is above the crowd and there are probably no words to thoroughly express my high esteem and regard for her in my experience as a patient. Care like this is hard to find in this day and age.
