Dr. Meenal Dwyer, MD

Dr. Dwyer and her team are excellent. She is patient, thorough, and knowledgable. Her staff is both friendly and helpful.

Went to my first appointment today as a new patient. After waiting to be seen 1 hour and 15 minutes past my appointment time, I walked out. No explanation was given as to why I was kept waiting so long. When I walked out of the treatment room, I couldn't even find somebody to tell them I was leaving. I ended up just going back to the reception area. They did refund my co-pay though since I received no services. I would not go back to this practice.

I was a patient of Dr. Edwards for as many as 30 years and when he recommended Dr. Dwyer, I trusted him. Dr. Dwyer has been impressive to me. She listens very well and has been spot on with regards to her diagnosis and treatments. She has helped me with chronic migraines, weight loss, and pain management with my back problems. I currently travel all the way from Va Beach to see her and will continue to do so. I would recommend her to anyone.

She is not the same caliber doctor as Dr. Edwards by a long shot. Not proactive at all. Numerous visits of a headache were passed off as a minor problem that resulted in a very serious complication and damage, as it was too late before the actual symptom of a fungus had taken over and eaten away bone structure. If Dr. Edwards had been the doctor, he would have referred to another specialist and set the appointment up right away.

I have been going to Burton Family Practice for over 25 years and this is definitely not the same caliber doctor as the former doctor that she replaced, Dr. Edwards. I would say the quality of care took a nose dive with this replacement doctor. Acts non-concerned when you express your medical problems and will not call in practically anything for simple illnesses, the usual response is go to a Now Care?...really? I am currently looking a replacement, there are better choices out here.

I needed an urgent appointment due to a bad persistent cough and breathing troubles. Dr. Dwyer saw me that same day even though I'm not one of her regular patients. She spent plenty of time with me to understand what was going on and do an exam. She let me ask all the questions I had about the medicines she recommended for me and I never felt rushed. Sure enough she was right about everything and I was feeling better in exactly the time she said I would! The staff was great too at the practice!
