I saw Dr. Thomas no less that 5x over a 6 month period and every time it was like walking in brand new. She never remembered me or any of the history I previously shared with her. Visits were always rushed and she never listened to concerns or dismissed issues. Poor bedside manner. On top of that her office is run like a circus. When I showed up for my first appointment they didn’t have any record of the appointment even tho THEY CALLED ME to set it up. One time I was left a vm that my appt had been moved 1.5 hour earlier. I arrived at the earlier time only to wait until my original appt time. Final straw was when I told Dr Thomas I was having gastric bypass to correct a hiatal hernia she said “I would recommend you lose weight the old fashion way with diet and exercise”. Meanwhile I had seen 3 surgeons and multiple specialists who had advised for GP. She then suggested I try a gluten free diet for weight loss and I reminded her I had been GF for 15 years.

If you just want a CPAP ...
Prescribes CPAP's. Have other sleep issues, forget it. Go on a diet and get a CPAP. Look elsewhere if you really want to resolve sleep issues.

Caring, knowlegable, thorough.
For many years I've placed my trust in Dr. Thomas for my sleep apnea care. She is very easy to talk to and genuinely listens as she uses all available techknowledgy and resources to provide excellent health care.

Do not see her!
Out of all providers I've seen over the years, Dr. Thomas has been the most arrogant, condescending and rude providers I have ever seen. She made me cry after my initial visit and when I had questions and would try and advocate for myself or give her context for my medical history, she would either ignore it or take personal offense to it. She's truly awful.

I did not stay with Dr Thomas long due to her sterile approach to dealing with patients. Her approach to speaking with me felt condescending and judgmental and very instructional rather than sensitive. I have since acquired a different pulmonologist.

Best Care!
I've been to many sleep doctors/clinics/hospitals, etc. over the past 30 years. Unfortunately, I think I could have done better in a third world country. Then I found Dr. Thomas who turned my world around. Dr. Thomas is by far the most thorough, caring, consistent physician I've experienced. Nothing slips through the cracks. She is on top of every aspect of my care. She isn't just prescribing therapies, she's treating me as a whole human. Literally, tears of joy I shed.

I came to you for sleep apnea treatment.
When someone is advertised as a "sleep doctor", there is NOTHING more frustrating than time after time getting a lecture on "leaky gut" and when and what I should eat. This has NOTHING to do with my inherited sleep apnea that every male member of my family has. Including my children. Not only that, she has introduced herself to me no less than 3 times. After being a patient for many years, you would think my chart alone would be the tip off that I have been coming there for a while. Every appointment is the same. An hour lecture about her belief in "functional medicine" which is nothing more than naturopath stuff that is very controversial in Western medicine circles. And about 5 minutes dedicated to why I came there in the first place, for sleep apnea. To change one or two settings on my machine, then I am out the door. I have learned to take the earliest appointment or the one right after lunch.Otherwise you can spend an hour or more in her 8x8 waiting room with 4 chairs in it!

Inefficiency
test results are never in chart even when sent by multiple sources. I bring my own and then time is spent trying to figure out why they aren’t in their records-repeatedly occurs! My questions don’t get answered just other info given but not what I am there for. Smart & personable Dr but I leave with more questions, no answer, no changes or planning as well as confused . I have had to make dr aware of test specifics/results-diagnosis. I am told that they don’t believe treatment is necessary but I can if I want. I truly don’t understand their care or processes and well as wonder if my sleep apnea is properly diagnosed and managed. Why don’t they review the data regularly and before an appointment?!

Do not waste your time
Horrible, do not waste your time. I was referred to Dr Thomas, and it was a horrible mistake. She's incredibly rude, her staff is horrible, and trying to get anything done is harder than being given the nuclear launch codes. Oh and apparently you can't have YOUR OWN records emailed to you because she's decided that is a HIPPA violation.

My time with Dr. Thomas was very beneficial and my medical concern was addressed. With that being said, the staff in the office are probably some of the worst I've experienced going to several medical clinics. They always seem very disorganized and often times rude. What really is the most frustrating thing about this office is the lack of communication. They never seem to be able to pick up the phone. When you send emails through the online portal they never follow up. I understand it's healthcare but a simple response to an email would do wonders. I would personally recommend Dr. Thomas. But with how poor the communication and staff seem to be, I would strongly encourage others to seek healthcare somewhere else. My health and others' health is too important to have to deal with incompetent staff.

I went to see Dr Thomas because I have had headaches for 4 months and was referred to her by my GP. All Dr. Thomas wanted to do was focus on sleep apnea questions. I cannot overstate how disappointed I am in my discussion with her. Once again, I have no sleep apnea symptoms. I have had headaches and other weird health issues for 4 months! She also spent a fair amount of time talking about gut health and telling me I need to eat two kinds of fermented foods a day! What the hell does this have to do with my headaches? After my meeting with Dr Thomas, I received a summary of my patient notes. It said, and I quote: "Reasons for visit: Sleep problems and Fatique." Nothing could be further from the truth. This lady is just trying to sell her sleep study business. I have never been so disappointed with a Drs visit in my life. This lady cares about padding her pocket and does not care about my chronic headaches or what has caused them. I could never recommend her to anyone!

I was referred to Dr. Thomas by a family member. I was grateful to get an appointment quite quickly. Dr. Thomas was business-like and direct, but also kind and answered all of my questions. It took awhile to determine I had sleep apnea, but only because I had a hard time falling asleep during the sleep studies. In the end, Dr. Thomas and her staff went above and beyond for me as I was going out of town and needed a resolution. They even put a “rush” on the review of my “successful” sleep study. I am grateful for their extra effort for me and will refer other people to Dr. Thomas.

If I can save just one person from visiting this absolute monstrosity of a medical practice I will be happy. Never did see the esteemed doctor. Her support staff are clueless about what transpires in their office and her medical assistants do not know how to read a chart. After an aborted sleep study, the worst experience of my life, I cancelled my follow up appointment. They called the day before to remind me of my appointment. The whole practice is geared to selling you a C-pap machine.

I wasted over $1000 on a sleep study and consultation. I learned nothing about my sleep problems, and they did nothing to try and help me. The people there are rude and completely useless. Maya is incompetent and should have her medical license revoked.

Bedside manner is not good as she does not listen. She also got irritated with me because I was not taking enough Vitamin D as my blood results said I was low. I reminded her this was my first visit since my blood test and we never had a conversation about Vitamin D before. Also, plan a whole day if you make an appointment as I have waited more than an hour each time. Looking for a replacement doctor now.

I wish I could’ve received the great care that some of these reviews show but sadly I didn’t. She was extremely judgmental and could care less about listening to her patients concerns. Horrible bedside manner and not personable at all. The most unprofessional Dr that I’ve ever been to. Diagnosed me with Narcolepsy but never even took a minute to explain what that was. Instead she prescribed a heavy medication. The same medication that she prescribed to my friend who is sadly no longer with us.

Waited over 2 hours for my scheduled visit. I was hoping for more of a consultation, as that was what my visit was for, but only spent about 10 minutes with her after waiting over 2 hours. I felt she had already determined my condition. I had to stop her from walking out the office door to ask just one more question. I was confused with what she was recommending and had to clarify information with the lady at the desk. Ended up canceling future visits. Overall didn't feel comfortable.
