Disgrace to the medical profession
I was “sent” to her when her colleague abruptly cut off a pain relief regimen I had for 20 years. I was so impressed with my first visit (90 minutes) that I told everyone how lucky I was to have found her.Well, that didn’t last beyond a second visit. The transition was very difficult and she did a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde swing when I had difficulty and ABSOLUTELY would not listen to a word I had to say. She was cold, dismissive, WRONG about the nature of some medications, was extremely rude, self-righteous. She has a messiah complex when it comes to people with dependency issues while viewing them as beneath her. She discussed some patients with other patients; an acquaintance had that happen to him.500 dollars a visit ! She was contradictory, confused. Her appearance was grossly unprofessional, dirty shirts, no brassiere, sloppy shoes on bare feet, and very unkempt hair, very offensive overall. I ran from her…. Don’t get within ten miles of this “doctor.”

Weird And Unprofessional!
She is by far the most bizarre doctor I've ever met. She is definitely without a doubt rude as other people have commented but also seems to be somewhat of a space cadet! I could go on but will rather not. She's a complete waste of time!!

Truly traumatizing
Dr. Hambright is a downright nasty bully. Never in my life have I had a doctor yell at me tell me that I am a horrible person amongst other highly cruel, judgemental things. Unfortunately she is the only doctor I have access to for my psych meds because I am currently in long term residential treatment for alcohol abuse. She is without doubt highly unprofessional and arrogant. She obviously wasn't paying attention when she took her doctors oath. Because instead of pledging first do no harm. She has done tons of me. I'm still shaken up over our last session.

Airhead who can't decide what to be
Good luck with this airhead. She took over for my doctor at another practice (first appt kept me waiting an HOUR AND FORTY FIVE MINUTES and then acted like it was MY fault when I wanted to leave) and then decided she wanted to do something else and then decided to do something else - make up your mind, airhead. Now, because she decided to do addiction recovery and I followed her here as a primary care physician, no other doctor wants me as a patient because they think I'm in addiction recovery. Thanks for COMPLETELY screwing me over, you horrible excuse for a doctor.

I took a minute to read all of the reviews for Dr. Hambright and was a little surprised to see some of the negative comments listed. What sets Dr. Hambright apart is her complete dedication to all of her patients. She doesn't just smile, nod and move on. She delves into every aspect of your life to ensure a care plan that encompasses the entire patient physically, mentally, emotionally. Dr. Hambright takes a holistic approach to her patient care. She will not just write a script and move onto the next patient. She knows that there is more to healing than medication and that pills are not the answer 100% of the time. Her being "judgemental" is in actuality her listening to her patient and weighing that patients wants against their needs and looking at what is a short term fix as compared to a long term solution. Dr. Hambright listens to her patients. She just refuses to placate to us. She is a doctor who, if possible, actually cares too much at times. But I know she saved me.

During my time under her care, Dr Hambright's behavior was less than professional and in fact, very rude. It seemed as though she would confuse me with other patients. I found it very difficult to discuss my concerns with her. In my opinion, she is a self-righteous bully.

I agree with the above comment. She is by far the most disrespectful doctor I have ever encountered. She does not believe in a patient having a say in their care, she has poor doctor patient communications skills, and comes across as if she is superior to the peasent sitting in front of her. She literally walked out of my visit claiming to felt judge, when in fact the judging was on her behalf soley! I would not recommend my worst enemy to her.

Loved her!! However I had witnessed two occasions by office staff that made me cringe! An elderly gentleman asking for assistance with handicap signage procedure. Office worker was rude and dismissive! I should have reported her! Poor old man! Witnessed and clearly heard different office worker seemingly attempt to embarrass a Lady by shouting out the balance of an overdue payment. I could clearly hear her! Some re-education seems to be needed here!

I haven't seen Dr. Maya for years! It was 2009 actually. She did everything she could for me but years. Unfortunately now my spine is wired up and a year of physical therapy. I'm now walking again after 2 years. But I will always recommend her! She will do anything she can to help you. Janice Kovach.

She cares. Whether it is why I am seeing her, or not, Dr. Hambright cares about everything. She cares about the whole patient, physical, mental and emotional and she cares 24/7 not just for the 15 minutes I'm in the exam room. She talks to me about my options and together we decide what is best for me. I have a voice in my treatment and Maya Hambright makes sure that my voice is heard.
