From Top-A Doctor to Medium-C
Telehealth
Dr. Maximiliano Cardozo, MD (Psychiatrist) is a good doctor, in my opinion. I used to be his patient for more than 5 years, if I recall correctly. And then, the COVID-19 PANDEMIC hit. He closed his office, and from there on all visits were through the phone, only. As a result: 1. I was never able to see not even his face again (no Video call, voice only) 2. He sounded to be always in a rush (I had not time to discuss anything) 3. The visit would take average under 5 mins. 4. The only treatment I got was continued prescribed medication (same medication). I felt the only reason I had a visit every 3 months was for him to re-authorize my medication. No treatment. So, I dropped him a year ago. End of story.

Dr. Cardozo has been a wonderful psychiatrist for me. I am having such a hard time reading all of the negative reviews. This is not the Dr. Cardozo who has been treating me for close to a year. Miami, FL

I have been seeing this Dr for months. Medication wasn't working, so we kept changing it. The last one had a lot of side effects. He gave me instructions on how to wean off since you can't just stop. When I stopped it, I got considerable worse. Left 5 messages over a 2 week period for another pill. Hen ever returned my call in 2 weeks. Finally the clerk told me I was no longer a patient because I stopped my meds. This during a PANDEMIC ! He left me high and dry without medication, feeling very depressed and anxious. Told me that they werent taking new patients because of the pandemic ! How am I a new patient ? WORSE DR EVER ! Don't go to him, does not care about his patients mental health, only money. Should not have gone into psychiatry because you can't just leave a patient without a DR. ! No one is seeing new patients because of virus. What am I supposed to do ? He's selfish and has NO compassion whatsoever. DON'T GO TO HIM !

Worst psychiatrist ever... After more than 5 years as a patient, he denied assistance when I need the most since my insurance changed. He is all about money!! He didn't care about the patient even though I want to pay the consult. Mercenary! Don't waste your time.

I accompanied my aunt and uncle (who has Alzheimers) to their appointment. They were only 10 minutes late and TURNED AWAY!!! They have mobility issues and their medical transport never arrived; therefore, I rushed to help them as they have been waiting 2 months to see them for much needed meds to help with a dire, desperate situation at home. They wouldn't even show their face to see us in the waiting room. A psychiatrist with NO HUMANITY IS NOT WORTH YOUR TIME.

I have been seeing Dr. Cardio for about 6 years now and I absolutely love him!! Since I've been seeing him my anxiety and depression issues have improved immensely. He is very professional, extremely caring and understanding. He listens to everything I have to say and answers any questions or concerns that I may have, and he explains everything in a manner to be sure I understand everything that is going on with my treatment. in my opinion he is by far one of the best psychiatrists there is!!

I have only been seeing Dr. Cardozo for a few months, and we have almost completely turned my condition around. I found him through a friend, and I have recommended him to another. He is kind, caring, understanding, and usually very prompt. It's a joy to have him as a doctor.

I love Dr. Cardozo, he is a true gentleman. Every time I have an appointment, there is barely any wait time. Everyone in his office is very friendly and respectful. The office always calls me a day before my appointment to confirm. This works great because I have ADHD. He always asks the right questions and is always interested in my overall health. I would definitely recommend him to anyone. I give Dr. Cardozo and Advance Psychiatric Care, PA an A+.

Arrogant and abrasive. Doesn't actually listen to anything you say. You have just as much care filling out an online survey and taking what it recommends.

This practice is just a mill, they never return calls, you wait forever, he sees you for mere minutes then prescribes you drugs. The bigger issue lies in after you are taking the drugs and he and his office's failure to submit renewals of scripts in a timely manner causing lapses in dosage. If you want your life tinkered with by a doctor to busy to care, then this is the place to go.

I have been going to the university of Miami for the past 6 months, thinking that their doctors were the best. Very wrong I will never bother with them again. I don't know why this doctor got bad reviews. He listened and came up with a plan.

Very hard to get an appointment. If you need emergency attention ever he is not the Doctor for you. He is very rude and always almost frustrated with his patients. Even with an appointment you can still sit there for a hour. He is very fast and gives unnecessary drugs to patients.
