I had an ovarian cyst found by another local obgyn who's course of action was a complete hysterectomy and overnight hospital stay. I didn't want to go with something so invasive , so I put it off until the cyst showed on an abdominal CT being preformed for a different matter. I was informed the cyst had grown. I sought the help of Dr Maxie C Sprott Jr, and I went for the dreaded first office visit. I was very impressed with him and all his staff. Never was I exposed to the human eye. When it got time to go over the results (same day) with the doctor, I found Dr Sprott's examination and explanation to be thorough and his course of action was to remove the cyst, not my female organs. Requiring only day surgery. No costly overnight hospital stay like first doctor's option. Dr Sprott's bedside manner is pleasant, understandable, with the right amount of humor at the appropriate times. He took away all my apprehensions. Then the day of the surgery Dr Sprott and his Staff were equally as impressive, fast and efficient.

Horrible doctor
He was never understanding of anyone’s feelings or concerns I would never go back to see him or his wife they both just rushed any concerns. At my 36 week appointment they neglected to check my cervix if it was checked they would’ve realized that my amniotic fluid was leaking weeks prior to me having my son. To compare someone’s pregnancy to another woman’s in Africa. Hopefully he retires before he harms anyone, I was told to be quiet at delivery just because I didn’t want to have a C-Section

I have been coming to Vida and Dr Sprott for years. For all 3 of my pregnancies and most recently my hysterectomy. I appreciate the care and direct response to my questions.. A lot of people say Dr Sprott is mean, but honestly he’s just very direct. I would much rather someone tell me the facts than to sugar coat a problem. I can’t brag enough about all the help Dr Sprott’s surgery scheduler was too. Jess has been with Dr Sprott for a long time, she scheduled my last c-section and now my hysterectomy. She does everything in such a way that I understood exactly what was going to happen. Jess even called me after surgery to check in because I was so scared. I love this office and I highly recommend Dr Sprott and his team. They made sure I was taken care of.

Dr. Sprott was not my OB/GYN, but I had to see him once when my doctor could not be there. I was there for light spotting and cramping and was really worried due to my pregnancy still being in the first trimester. He was the worst person that I have ever dealt with. When I left the office I was so upset. He did not go over my ultrasound with me and instead talked about the fact that I had 4 previous C-sections and should not be pregnant in the first place. He asked me why I hadn't had my tubes tied and that my previous doctor should have advised me against having more kids. He basically said that what was happening with me was considered a threatened miscarriage and there is nothing I could do. He also stated that a miscarriage may not be the worst thing for someone in my condition and to try pelvic rest at home if I could handle it. I was disgusted.

The worst office I have ever had to deal with. Over two hour wait every time I had an appointment. So packed and over scheduled it’s ridiculous!! Dr. Sprott is great but not worth dealing with that place

This is the worst office I have ever dealt with. I had an appointment at 2 o clock in the afternoon and waited for the doctor in the office until 4:45 until I finally left without being seen because the doctor never showed up. I called their office today to try and request medical records so that I could change doctors and I was put on hold for 15 minutes and then was hung up on only to call back and find out they took lunch early and I would have to now wait until 2 pm to call back.

I can't say enough good things for Dr Sprott he delivered my both of my boys and he is so funny! He is old and he makes me laugh but is always up front. After my second son was born this past October, I felt like I was leaving family. I joked about breaking up with Dr Sprotts surgery scheduler Jess! She was so helpful with my pregnancies and good with my babies. I liked Dr Sprotts nurse Carly too! She takes her time. Love them.

Dr. Sprott was my wife's Dr. For less than 10 mins when I realized that he was one of the unhappiest people that we ( my wife and I ) had ever put our trust into. He was very disrespectful and demeaning. Encouraging my wife to get fixed so we couldn't have any more children?. He was very disrespectful towards her when I wasn't able to go with her she would call me in tears feeling down and begging for encouraging comments to help block out the negative hurtful things he said to her. Hes horrible

I've been seeing Dr. Sprott for close to 5 years and absolutely love him and his staff. He's always gone above and beyond to make me feel like a valued patient. Even at 19 with my first baby. He would always spend time to make sure all of my questions were answered and I was comfortable walking out of his office. I would definitely recommend him!
