A man of science; of conscience a spirit of caring
I can't tell you about an individual visit but on at least three instances Dr Scheer went over hospital heads and took it upon himself to save my life. There is no better doctor and a better human-being would be hard to find. Max, if you check these things: Thank you for all you have done for me and for many others (We talk.)

Dropped insurance, which left me doctor less.
Dr. Scheer had been my internist for decades. Dr. Scheer dropped all insurance except Medicare, dumping all his patients who couldn't pay cash in the process. The one insurance he continued to accept was Medicare. When I become eligible for Medicare, his office told me that Dr. Scheer was not accepting "new" Medicare patients. I was an "Old patient" but a "new" Medicare patient ,so I would have to pay cash. I developed, complex medical conditions which no doctor could diagnose. A doctor suggested that I return to Dr. Scheer. The office told me that I would have to pay $1,200 to see Dr. Scheer ,following which Dr. Scheer's office told me a day later that Dr. Scheer would not see me for any amount of money, for I, a patient of DECADES who had been forced to stop seeing Dr. Scheer because he stopped accepting insurance , was a "new " patient-with a 20 year chart. Dr. Scheer may be the only doctor who could diagnose me, but that doesn't matter to Dr. Scheer. my doctor of DECADES

Dr. Max Scheer is a top notch diagnostician as well as having a genuine kind and patient bedside manner. His follow up is as good as is gets and he is just a pleasure to be around. I have recommended him so many times and the feedback is always the same. He is a rare find in todays world of doctors.
