Dr. Max Medary is an Excellant Surgeon
Dr, Max Medary is the finest neurosurgeon I have ever had the honor to have met. I had a leminectomy performed by him in 2022 and continued normal life activities almost immediately after. His care and concern deeply impressed me. I would recommend Dr, Medary to anyone who suffers chronic back pain. Michael Copeland

Dr Medary gave me my life back. He is The best.
I was in such terrible sciatica pain and went to see him for a consult and he had me in surgery 2 hours later. His compassion and care for his patients is admirable. I'm So glad I found him.

I recommend Dr Medary
I felt that Dr Medary was very Caring he Explained everything to me from my MRI . He is very personable and kind. I am very happy with the surgery He did on C5 C6 disc . It has been 3 weeks and I have been able to use my thumbs more, I had lost almost all muscle tone in my thumbs because of my spinal cord being pinched off. I still have a long road ahead of me, but in the short three weeks, I can see a huge difference. I would highly recommend him. I will be seeing him for lower back insures in two weeks.

Worthless it was just a waste of time for.
It was worthless going and talking with him in some cases when you see a new doctor and the way he are she some you feel so happy and comfortable because of the doctors attitude and you feel that they care about their patience and they listen and exam what you are there for but this doctor didn't care didn't even listen had basically scrolled down the dics so never again and will not recommend him to anyone it was just a waste of time for me because I live in Saint cloud so Orlando trip was a waste and in pain my neosurgeon retired so going to see the neosurgeon who took his place my opinion he's worthless and no care in the world now as for the ratings go if there's a, then that's what he will get unfortunately it's going to be just one star rating.

Superior service
Dr Max Medary cares very much for his patient's. He listens and answers every question and concern. I was having back problems for more then twenty years. I went to another surgeon who promised little to no pain. That never happened. My primary doctor suggested a second opinion with Mr. Medary. Best decision I've ever made. He took care of me in a very timely manner. No pain! I literally went home and cried. I've been living with pain since I was 19. I'm now 56. I've been through so much over the years. Please, please, please call Dr Medary, you will not regret his humor or talent. Sincerely Preston

No nonsense suregon
Dr. Medary is an excellent surgeon. He doesn't waist time holding your hand and I personally appreciate that type of doctor. He addresses the problem explains the reason for the pain and what is needed to resolve the problem. If you are looking for sympathy he is not the doctor for you. Dr. Medary explained the cause of my lower back and leg pain and what was needed to be done to relieve my pain. I asked what the next step was and he said get scheduled for surgery. One week later I was taken to surgery at 8 a.m. and was back home sitting in a chair at 1:30 p.m. the same day. Three weeks have passed and my back pain is completely gone. Dr. Medary has given me back a pain free life. Thank you.Tom Demko

Again I have to write and say that Dr m e d a r y has always been nice to me and very kind. I think he got me mixed up with another patient because he was telling me he only made x amount of dollars on me. I think he was thinking about just Medicare but I have United Healthcare also that paid the remainder of the bill the billing was 68,392 and I just opened my bills today matter of fact to see what Medicare paid and now I'm waiting to see what United paid as whatever Medicare doesn't pay United Healthcare picks up so please adjust your records with me because I happen to know United Healthcare paid for 2 years ago and for September of 2023, I adore him and I like him and he's helped me I'm doing my exercises and I'm a little bit better but I still have some issues that are not his fault, my sciatic nerve damage is getting a little bit better it's been since September 26th since my surgery of 2023 and I know that I have to do the work with my new physical therapist. I just wanted y'all to know that he is a good doctor and if people think otherwise they don't understand his confidence I do because he's excellent and just wanted to let you know I appreciate his office staff and the hospital staff that took care of me and prepared me for the surgery was over the top just absolutely over the top at Orlando Health and I can't thank them enough for making me feel wonderful about going into surgery. I didn't get to express that before but I would like to know tell people that if you can't take the Heat and the truth get out of the kitchen that's my philosophy. Thank you Dr maderi I will get back with you and come for another follow-up visit soon. Marcia Mobley Orlando Florida

Condesending and cold
Makes you wonder when you can get into see this dr very fast and the reason why is that he is cold, condesending and unfriendly. He did not appear to know anything regarding back pain and the reasons for the pain either. There are much better doctors in the area who will solve your issue.

Arrogance is too big for him
Would give negative stars if I could. I went to him because I am suffering. I was wearing a neck brace my chiropractor told me to wear and I was crying, not sobbing just in pain. He walked in the room, looked at me and said under his breath “ oh, we have drama here”. I should have just left then but I am so desperate for help I stayed. He would not even view my entire cd I was told to bring. I was trying to explain the issue i had were visible at the end of the cd. He said he doesn’t listen to chiropractors. A chiropractor is the one who ordered my imaging that he was supposed to view. He interrupted us the entire time we were trying to talk and just kept reiterating that he does not listen to chiropractors. He would not even allow me to explain to him why I was seeing the chiropractor. He was so arrogant and disrespectful. He told me to take the neck brace off and I did not need it. He said my neck was fine. Nope it’s not. I’m scheduled for fusion elsewhere at the end of the months

Run from this Office
I presented Dr, Medary with an MRI and disc that is a year old and asked Dr. Medary, if I should get a new one done since it was a year old, and I felt there could be more issues. He stuck with and focused on a bulging disc on L3-L4 even though I brought up that my tailbone was hurting. I had the operation, and I was still unable to walk for more than 50 feet and stand for more than 2 minutes and I had severe, unrelenting pain in my left leg still due to my lower back issues. I was still in the same amount of pain and getting progressively worse during my “recovery”. In post visits, I told Dr. Medary this and he sent me to get an MRI, almost 2 months post-surgery. The MRI revealed that I had more bulging discs, severe stenosis (severe narrowing of the spinal canal especially toward my tail bone L5-S1, hence my tailbone pain). He changed the adjective “severe” as stated in the MRI report to “moderate” . Another spinal surgeon had to revise his work and extended his failed back surgery

Grateful
I would like to express my eternal gratitude to Dr. Max Medary, whom I highly recommend for his magnificent expertise, professionalism, and human quality. He has operated on me on two occasions for different reasons with absolute success, I have recovered my quality of life thanks to GOD in the first place and secondly thanks to his hands, for which I prayed to the LORD to continue blessing them so that he continues helping and saving many other patients. Thank you very much Dr. Medary, my daughter and I love you. ??????

ACDF procedure 100% disable veteran.
Dr. Medary is an excellent doctor. I researched neurosurgeons in the Orlando area for the last four years and finally decided to go with Dr. Medary. He is straight to the point. He is not going to tell what you want to hear. He will tell you what really is going on with your situation and provide options. Not a surgery for money doctor. He is meticulous in his approach and very effective in the results. My pain is gone after my ACDF surgery. No complaints here. If you can’t handle the truth don’t go see him. He is a very straight forward doctor. I highly recommend him and trust him with any other need.

Very good experience and outcome!!!! Pain is gone!
I never write reviews, but this time I have to after having such a positive outcome, because I can help someone. I had a herniated disc and have been suffering from back pain for at least 10 years Had surgery with Max Medary 6 weeks ago, and since day one after surgery had no pain in my leg As I read on other reviews, he is a straight shooter and tells you exactly what to expect, but that is very good. The first 6 days of recovery are very difficult, the back was swollen, and it was very, very uncomfortable But after that, the recovery was very quick and easy! I felt very supported all along my back journey by Dr Medary, he called me several times after surgery to see how I was doing, and even once when I was concerned my scar was red, he prescribed me antibiotic and he drained the incision immediately that same day If you are having back problems, He is a great doctor!!!!! Had à laminectomy done when I really needed a hip replacement When I mentioned that the surgery did nothing to improve my condition I was dismissed and told to have a good life and all I needed was to walk to get better and so I did for the next 3 months walking bone on bone with a lot of pain.I finally went to another doctor who did the hip replacement and I’ve been walking fine afterwards. On my first visit I did have both a hip and back mri but I guess only the back was looked at. The hip surgery was so easy after what I was put through unnecessarily.Get a second opinion.

Don’t do it
My initial contact with staff was pleasant although while I was waiting in the exam room I listened to a con he was having with his nurse as they laughed at a patient calling with a cervical headache n pain after surgery. I thought we’ll, this is going to be pointless bc I judge the whole office and how they function together to be effective. He comes in room. His arrogance starts to shine when he is saved by a call n his cell phone: he immediately becomes nervous, can’t complete a sentence, was talking about meeting up somewhere on Saturday with the person on the other line to um “you know, um, meet my girlfriend.” I thought” This man is buying recreational drugs”. I’m convinced of it. Offered a M-C6 cervical disc replacement that had been recalled in several other countries. UNBELIEVABLE, but yet it happed December 2021.

I love that this guy is a straight shooter and you know what he thinks when you see him. I went in on a Friday and he scheduled me for Surgery on Thursday less than a week later because he knew how much pain I was in just laying there on his chairs. I had a herniated disk on L5 - S1 and he went over the MRI with me and said that microdiscectomy will be the best way to fix this and right after surgery I would feel better right away. He can be sarcastic, but I am too so I really enjoyed talking with him. He doesn’t baby you or hold your hand….like I said a straight shooter, but honestly I like that out of a doctor. Just tell me how it is no sugar coat needed. If I need to be pampered I can go to a massage parlor. He is very knowledgeable and everything he said would happen has happened so far. I am on day 4 of recovery and he even called to check on me at day 2 which I was not expecting. No issues with the staff or doctor at all and they really rushed me in to take care of me asap.
