Dr. Shalev was absolutely amazing!!! I’m so glad I didn’t read the reviews prior to my appointment.. First time seeing her and she walked in the room and instantly made it warm and welcoming. Her demeanor and bedside manner was top notch… I honestly don’t think I ever felt more comfortable at any doctor appointments. She reviewed my chart prior to entering and walked me through every step of what she was doing.. Phenomenal doctor!!! Highly recommend!!!

I first went here prior to the pandemic. My appt was w Dr. Markman but office canceled last minute & rescheduled w another Dr. That Dr. had excellent bedside manner, but hurt me during the Pap smear & actually tried to talk me out of having it. Again, I liked her as a person, but I don’t like pain. Next visit was w Dr. Shalev who seemed new to the practice, but I took a chance. I actually liked her bedside manner too & she did not hurt me during the Pap. So why 1-star? She was on leave so made appt again w Dr. Markman. Incredulously, she canceled AGAIN! So I rescheduled for Dr. Shalev who was (supposedly) back from leave. I get to my appt on time, & she is no-show!! NO APOLOGY in portal despite my reaching out expressing upset. Staff said automated system had issues & no human called. RESCHEDULED 3rd time but due to traffic, called asking if Dr was on time as needed to be about 10-12 minutes late. NASTY staff refused to say. I arrived about 11 1/2 mins late & Dr. refused to see me. :-(

I would give zero stars if an option, one word: horrible!! My advice pick another provider. Shalev talks over you and has horrible bedside manner. She basically told me to do the research on my problem and she'll tell me if that treatment is okay or not (seriously this is true). Very unprofessional and has a way of trying to undermine your intelligence. She told me she wasn't a specialist after providing me treatment to my issue for over a year and when I asked if she could refer one she said she didn't know, she was just a standard OB. Like what?!?! Then when I expressed I wasn't comfortable with her "advice" she got up and left the room, never addressing the issue I came in for in the first place. This doctor is dangerous and needs a wake up call, she is playing with peoples lives and not well either. Caution find someone else!!!!!!

I am surprised at some of the negative comments. Dr. Shalev was always very professional, polite, understanding and attentive to any and all of my questions and needs during my difficult and emotionally sensitive pregnancy. I found her to be one of the best OBGYN's in my area. Both Dr. Shalev & Dr. Abruna delivered my daughter and I could not be more happy to have had them. This was my personal experience.

Dr. Shalev is excellent! I am so glad that she was the doctor that delivered my first son, who was almost 9 lbs! She was great at explaining everything step-by-step, as I went through labor. I am sad that she is no longer at OBGYN Assoc in North Jersey, as I would've loved to have her as my primary OB as I go through my second pregnancy.

She is now at Great Rivers Womens Health in Burlington Iowa. She is not compassionate or personable. She will cut you off when you try to explain your concerns or ask questions. She invited another doctor in the room and seemed to forget my husband and myself were there while they joked around. They also discussed things about my pregnancy amongst themselves making me feel like a lab rat. She may be a good doctor hands on??? I will never know. I won’t be going back to her.

I wish I could give her less than one star. I'm a concerned husband who is very dissatisfied with the service my wife has gotten from her. Her bedside manner is subpar. During every interaction we have had with her to ask simple questions related to my wife's pregnancy, she has been very rude and condescending in her responses. When we express our medical concerns to her it always feel like she doesn't care and we wonder why we talked to her in the first place.
