Dr. Mauricio Concha, MD

Dr. Concha misdiagnosed my condition and needlessly instructed me to go on medication for life. Thank goodness I got a second opinion. He is incompetent. Also, yelled at staff during my appointment. He is unprofessional and irresponsible. Do not see this doctor, go elsewhere!

Dr C is an intelligent man. He is the kind of dr that takes time to get to know you and you to know him. I am a very complex case and he was not accepting new patients when we met at SMH in an emergency situation. He took the time to evaluate me and hear my case, and he accepted the challenge. His approach to my treatment was “The Best Way, The Best Medicine”. I had no choice honestly. He listens to me, he’s a team player, and I respect him. Good doctors take time if you have the right approach. We had a tough start due to my allergies to so many things, I was a tough case. I was told he was the best in the Tampa region and I only curate the best doctors due to my medical history. I’m so proud to have him on my team of doctors! I’m truly grateful for Dr C everyday bc he has given me back my quality of life. Each Dr specializes in their field and this one is the best at migraines. I highly recommend Dr. Concha. He’s an outstanding doctor and confident in his field.

Very uncaring and beyond unprofessional. My mom brought me dad in for an appointment. He was having memory problems and lots of confusion. After having my father do a few simple tasks he sent him to walk down the hallway. That is when Dr. Concha turned to my heartbroken, worried mother and made the crazy sign by spinning his pointer finger by his temple. They never went back and she did not tell me about this atrocity until much later. I still would love to give this awful man a piece of my mind

Dr Concha has been my neurologist since 2011 and I would not use anyone else. He has taken great care of me since my stroke. Excellent Doctor.

Dr. Concha had no interest in treating me, tried to toss me off to another psychiatrist who can't help me, and couldn't have cared less about my plethora of neurological problems. If he is a caring Dr. who genuinely wants to help, he surely was NOT that way with me. If you have a brain injury or suspected CTE, go elsewhere. He has nothing to offer. My appointment was purely a waste of time and gave me even less hope.

Dr. Concha seems competent but has been unable to discover the route of my mobility problems. I am a stroke survivor. He often changes appointments.

Very thorough. As a new patient seeking a second opinion, Dr Conchas exceeded our expectations. He explained everything clearly, brought up some new ideas and spent a great deal of time.

During our first visit with Dr. Concha, he was extremely focused and was determined to get to the bottom of the cause behind my Mom's symptoms. He spent over an hour with us to understand the history and read past records. We were pleasantly surprised and knew we were in good hands.

My husband had a serious vascular incident some time ago. I had been to a number of neurologists with my mom and was concerned about their dealing with this case. Dr. C was at Sarasota Memorial Hospital with us and has overseen his case, working with primary care doctor and a number of specialists. We continue to go to Dr. C. as my husband progresses past this event and is well. Thankfully. I strongly recommend Dr. C.

Unable to get a timely appointment. When I did book an appointment they cancelled because the Dr. would not be able to be available.
