Cut me off and treated me like I was an idiot
I have been under the care of a GI doctor for diverticulitis. I had a CT scan recently that revealed not only the diverticulitis, but a perforation. My GI doc had chosen not to have me on another round of antibiotics, and let me try to heal. But to go to the emer room if I start getting worse. Well... I started getting worse and wound up at at the San Marcos Christus Santa Rosa ER. When I tried to explain to Dr. Kimiagaree what my GI doc had said about antibiotics, he cut me off and was rude. He also told me that I had "regular diverticulitis" and no perforations. I told him that my CT scan one week prior showed I had a perforation, he cut me off again and said, "I know." Dr. Kimiagaree got two stars instead of one star from me because he did call me back later and admitted that my CT scan at the ER was mis-read and I did indeed have a perforation. And told me that he talked with my GI doc and they agreed to have me on another round of antibiotics. And he was nicer on the call.

Big Surprise bill
In, 2019, my son had a similar out-of-network "surprise bill" for $1030 from Dr. Kimiagaree. As of Jan 1, 2022, federal law prohibits this kind of sleazy surprise billing. Neither the in-network hospital nor the doctor advised of this situation at the time.

I had to take my mother to the emergency room. I work in the health field and never have I experienced such rude behavior from a doctor. Dr. Maurice Kimiagaree was rude, abrasive and condescending. At first I thought he might be tired as medical staff all across the country have being pulling extra shifts but NO! This dr. needs a course in bedside manner, empathy and social engagement. I'm disappointed that a hospital that is so pretty on the outside would staff a doctor on the inside with such an ugly disposition.

I had a visit with Dr Kimiagaree in the emergency room. Of course it wasn’t under great circumstances but he was incredibly caring, listened and I had confidence in his treatment plan. The nurses and staff were really awesome as well. Despite being an emergency room, there was a lot of positivity.

Took my wife here to the emergency room due to the hospital being "in-network". Just received a bill from Maurice Kimiagaree MD for $1544. Called them to determine why they billed this even though my insurance paid $234. They informed me they cannot speak for the hospital but the doctors that work there actually work for E-Merge Physicians and they do not honor insurance which we were NEVER informed on. Very rude billing department and cannot tell us much.
