Dr. Maureen Whelihan, MD

Always a pleasurable experience when I visit this office. The staff is wonderful from the time you walk in until the time your visit is over. Dr. Whelihan is a smart, fun and down to earth doctor whom always goes above and beyond. The office is spacious, clean and very well decorated. I'm very grateful to be a patient of this practice.

Dr. Whelihan was amazing. She told me more today than anyone told me in all the years of treating with any other physicians. From the time you are greeted by her staff from the time you leave you feel a sense of relief. I would definitely recommend her!!!

Dr Whelihan is very knowledge in woman’s hormones. She has helped me balance my hormones and it’s wonderful. She takes her time with your visit , listens to every concern, and answers all your questions. I finally feel like I found the best doctor for my issues. I have referred so many woman to her and they love her! So happy I found her.

Dr. Whelihan was comprehensive in her knowledge about my body and issues I wanted to address. She is frank and explicit, even showing what should be done.I trust her judgement and will follow her directives.

Dr. Whelihan took the time to listen to all of my concerns and address each of them as well as offered additional advice and connect other problems I didn’t even try ink of.

Failed to diagnose my daughter's fibroid problem which caused her to have surgery to remove a fibroid which grew rapidly and Dr. Whelihan was unable to treat, recognize and diagnose. My daughter is still having problems which, if Dr. Whelihan, had treated the fibroid in time, would have been a lot less problematic and painful. I had recommended Dr. Whelihan to my daughter and I feel horrible that I did. Would never go back and will never recommend her again.

Talks more than she listens. Prescribed medicine without knowing all symptoms. Was profoundly condescending. Women come for help due to hormone imbalance; her bedside manner is not for someone experiencing emotional distress from hormone imbalance. Further, her staff started knocking on the door every few minutes to move her along after I was in there only 10-15 minutes. And, I was an new patient and she didn't want my records. First OBGYN who has ever behaved this this. Weird doctor. Weird practice.

I am a new patient to Dr. Whelihan. My visit was comprehensive. She spent a lot of time reviewing my past and explaining in detail her findings, the treatment plan and expectations. I am an RN with a lot of medical knowledge and walked out of my appointment feeling extremely comfortable with her findings and explanations. She spent a lot of time with me, and at no time did I feel rushed. I highly recommend her to all!

Dr. Whelihan was wonderful. She is pleasant, kind, knowledgable and understanding. She listened attentively to my concerns and answered my questions without judgement. She took her time and did not rush my visit with her at all. I would highly recommend Dr. Whelihan.

I Love Dr Whelihan! From the moment you met her, you realize you made the right decision to come here. She is so kind, she listens and understands what your concerns are. She walks in and you feel like you have known her forever. She takes her time, she makes you feel comfortable and even makes you laugh. She has a wonderful sense of humor. Very happy with this office and all the staff.

I just returned home from this medical facility after walking out of my appointment. I knew it wasn't a good sign when I walked into the reception area and within 2 minutes, the 'lady' at the front desk turned her back and walked away from an older patient and said 'God I love this place' in a very snarky tone. After I signed in and waited a few minutes, the same snarky 'lady' called my name and demanded my ID, insurance card, and a credit or debit card. I was obviously taken aback by the demand for a credit or debit card and asked why she requested those. She stated it was the doctor's policy to keep a credit or debit card number on file for unpaid charges. I immediately said no and left. After reading some of the more recent 1-star reviews, I'm so glad I left without giving that horrible creature at the reception desk my card. Sounds like this place is in the business of making fraudulent charges.

Dr. Whelihan is very approachable, she answers any questions and explains what she is doing as she does it. Her staff is excellent also.

Staff was very accommodating. Dr. Whelihan creates such a comfortable environment, sounds very knowledgeable, and is very patient centric. She takes the time to educate her patients and addresses all concerns. A very positive experience for an uncomfortable examination (may I add with period on ?).

Dr. Whelihan was delightful and incredibly knowledgeable. Dr. Whelihan took so much time to speak with me as a patient and had everything explained in a way that put me at ease. I was given multiple scenarios and agency over my health with all of the facts and costs being presented. I am so happy I found her!

After years with my previous doctor, I had to change Gynecologist because the office closed. I couldn’t be happier with Dr. Whelihan . She took her time answering my questions and was so very knowledgeable and pleasant. I’m so very happy that she is now my doctor.

Had to make a last minute appointment, not a long wait.

Thank you Elite Gyn of the Palm Beaches! Same day appointment! Dee was an absolute sweetheart over the phone and even sweeter in person. Dr. Whelihan and her student had awesome bedside manner answered all my questions, and took her time. I feel so much better and relieved under her care and she has earned a patient for life. I have already recommended her and her helpful staff to all my friends. The unknown can be very scary so it's important to have a doctor you feel comfortable with and that is completely competent especially in todays world.

Dr Whelihan is everything I’ve always wanted in an ob/gyn. She listened to my issues, was very thorough in her exam, took the time to explain everything to me, and is very responsive with the patient portal as well! So thankful my pcp recommended her.

LOVE Dr. Whelihan! The staff is professional, courteous & helpful. Minimal wait time. THE BEST OB/GYN care in the Palm Beaches!
