Wonderful Practice
From the moment I got to the office I was welcomed by the receptionist, then taking back by the technicians then the doctor and even the office manager providing information regarding my medications and answering my questions. They were so courteous that even opened the door for me as it was heavy for me. I couldn't ask for a better ophthalmologist. Thank you Dr.

a severe lack of compassion
Before my visit, I was NOT informed that my eyes would be dialated (mydriasis), which resulted in I was forced to decide between hazardous driving with my impaired vision or waiting at the hosiptal for few hours. The staff at the office didn’t show any compassion to their visitors. Regarding driving with blury vision, she just coldly responded “It’s up to you!” I can only imagine this negligence shown to other visitors as well. Maureen T O Dea, only gave me a couple of minutes of her time, telling me that I had dry eyes, giving me an eye-drop prescription and led me to the front desk immediately. I was given no chance to ask questions, of which I had several. When I was in the waiting room, I saw her treat anothe another patient in the same manner, rushing the person off after minimal attention, so I guess this must be her standard level of service. There was negligence and a severe lack of compassion.

Try Another Doctor
High employee turnover, inconsistent office polices, the better the insurance the more likely the same eye tests will be performed with every visit, thus, more time in the waiting room. In my case, I was told I might not have glaucoma upon further questioning I was told I might have it. Confused, so was I. If you have a choice, take your chances with a more respectable eye doctor. Lastly, be leery of a company that improves their reviews with their own five star rating.

I visited Dr O’Dea when I was visiting from out of town when I began experiencing extreme sensitivity to light. She handled my cornea ulcer in an urgent matter and quickly made sure I was comfortable. She was great to work with and her staff squeezed me in their right away! 100% recommend her!

Dr. O'Dea was caring and empathetic. She is thoughtful in her diagnostic approach. She has take care of my mother for many years and has always instilled a great deal of confidence. Unlike may opthalmologists in this area, she's not just looking to do procedures. She puts the patient first! She's the only one I would trust for specialized eye care.

Went to hospital with debris (hot metal) in my eye and they "cleaned it out" for me. Said to schedule an appointment with Dr. O'Dea just to have it checked over it about a week. The next day my eye was worse, went to Dr. O'Dea, and she cleaned another 10+ pieces of metal from my eye (yes, I was wearing eye protection but hot slag bounced off a wall behind me, entering the protected area from the side/behind me). Massive relief of symptoms was less than 12 hrs later.

I made an appt with Dr O'Dea because I had decreased vision in my left eye. Dr. O'Dea diagnosed me with a floater no treatment necessary. She said it would go away on its own. I sought a second opinion and was found to have a detached retina in 3 places. My surgery is scheduled for Friday!
