Dr. Matthew Zimmerman, DO

Almost impossible to get an appointment with this doctor unless you book a year in advance.. You have to go through the gate keepers first and then get setup with a nurse practioner.

Dr. Zimmerman has been caring for my precious wife Sherry *age (79) for many years. Since her unfortunate. sudden disability in 2017, he has proven to be the most caring, concerned, involved doctor of all of the physicians and "specialists" attempting to diagnose her evasive cognitive/physical disabilities. We have been to medical, neurological, pulmonary, cardio, etc., specialists and have seen "expert doctors from John Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, Barnes, St. Joseph -Phoenix, Cox, and still have no diagnosis. Dr. Zimmerman however, remains steadfast and dedicated to helping her and we continue to have full confidence in him. Dr. Zimmerman, although a "young" physician is with out a doubt an "old school" type e.g. "hands on", "empathetic" doctor. He actually talks and works with you on a personal basis - not simply relying on what the "shared computer data" or "cook book" diagnosis. If you need a truly dedicated physician and honest man. Dr. Matthew Zimmerman is an outstanding choice.

If you have a mental illness in addition to your physical health. It became clear by the end of our almost 7 1/2 years of us working together. Until I visited a new doctor I didn't realize just how poorly I'd been treated.

I’m one of those people who always dreads going to the doctor, and put it off if possible. Since I found Dr. Zimmerman that’s changed. He makes me feel at ease, listens to me, takes his time to actually have a conversation about whatever problem I’m there for! No matter how bad I feel he’s through, and always has a smile on his face. I really appreciate the one on one interaction and feel like he cares about his patients. Hard to find a place where you don’t feel like you’re just a number. Recommend him to everyone ??

I am a difficult patient; my health issues are confusing and doctors have had a hard time diagnosing them. I was referred to Dr. Zimmerman two years ago and it was easily the best decision I have made. He takes his time getting to know his patients, discussing options with me and even researches different things regarding my care outside of my appointments.

Dr. Zimmerman always takes my appointments on time. He is thorough, takes time to answer any questions and my husband & I have always been very pleased with his services. Staff is also friendly.
