Hit or Miss
Dr. Wasielewski is a kind and compassionate guy and great for patients without significant health concerns, or who need a doctor who displays a great deal of genuine empathy the majority of the time. However, he has asked me why I would want to seek a diagnosis for a genetic condition that isn't fatal and has no cure. You can tell when he doesn't know much about something because he'll avoid it- even change the subject altogether. It's frustrating because you don't want to come across as rude, but being dismissed or ignored repeatedly in a polite and charming way has the same overall effect as being dismissed or ignored by doctors who are curt or rude: the patient's needs are still not being attended to. Not everything can be diagnosed with a CBC and metabolic panel. Dr W is very nice, but after years at this practice, we are considering going elsewhere to have our needs met.
