Peripheral neuropathy
I called to make my first appointment with Dr. Villani. Was told I needed a referral before I can get an appointment. Went to my PCP, slight delay. Called again with the referral and was told the referral needs to be for an X-ray also. They could have said that the first time. A little more delay. Ok, I complied. I show up for my appointment and they never took an X-ray. Wait, it gets better. Dr Villani comes in and looks at my feet and said, you have peripheral neuropathy. I'll give you a name of a company that sells medication that will help your condition. It cost $150.00 for one month supply but insurance won't cover it. Take it for a couple of months and if you think it's not helping, stop taking them. This guy is very comforting don't you agree? And now for the best part. (In My Opinion) He said I need to get support stockings and wear them (he is hesitating, er) 'TILL THE END'!!! Don't you just love his bedside manner? I know I do-- NOT- I forgot to say, I was 87 at the time.

Ankle surgery
Seems like a surgery happy place overall no complaints other than long hold times for after surgery care questions .. but if you call to book surgery they answer very quickly..

Very nice and listens
His nurses are very nice but there is one front desk woman that is VERY rude, she will not look at you when she is talking to you and will argue with you to prove she’s right. I hate going there except for the Dr. He needs to pay attention that can ruin a practice. Also when given your choice, do not go to the hospital on Lake Monroe.

Dr villain told me my right toe fusion would be the best option and I would bounce back quickly he also did a left ankle ligament repair and looked me in my eyes and said I couldn't break it. less than three years later my ligament ruptured and my fused toe caused more medical problems I can count. Torn ligaments and tendons on the same ankle the toe is fused as well as hip and back problems. I recommend getting a better opinion if your dealing with complicated foot problems and are young.

Calcaneal Fracture Repair Surgery
Dr. Villani did the surgery to repair my heel which was broken into a few pieces from a ladder tipping over. He is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, answers all questions and is an excellent surgeon. I would definitely go to him again and will refer anyone to him with any foot or ankle issues.

Go to another doctor!
I came to this doctor from the ER after a major fall. Called to come in at 215pm versus 415pm. Doctor at counter and did not even look at me saying he would be there. In the room doctor DID not exam my broken ankle or look at my new patient paperwork. Dr. Vinalli was terrible and I would not recommend him at all! Office seemed surgery happy.

I was very satisfied with my first-time visit. He listened to my issues looked over the ex-rays explained the problem with my one foot then went over treatment steps and set up a return visit to monitor hopefully a favorable outcome without surgery.

I spent 5 months trying to get a diagnosis and treatment plan for gout. Dr. Villaini was able to show and explain why I indeed had gout with the use of my xrays. He treated my feet and I'm now pain free!

Dr. Villani has been Absolutely Awesome since the first day I saw him! He's been extremely understanding in regards to my concerns of surgery and recovery time with my adult autistic son. Honest and straight forward and not once made me feel uncomfortable or less knowledgeable like some doctors have in the past. He explained things to every detail and I am truly grateful and appreciate that. EVERY visit before and after surgery have been filled with encouragement and positivity. I sincerely wish more doctors were like Dr. Matthew Villani...He is in my opinion "The Best of The Best!" ((HUGE HUGS))
