Dr. Matthew Steinway, MD

Excellent Dr. Very knowledgeable. I was referred to this Dr. By one of his associates out of my area. Seen him by video health call made an office appointment ( 4 hrs from me ) and within a few weeks had a complete kidney removed due to cancer of ureter and kidney. He did a few zoom appointments before and after surgery to save me time and travel expenses which I really appreciated. His office staff is very friendly and will get you an appointment very quickly when needed. In my opinion this Dr. SAVED MY LIFE!!! Highly Recommend

Disorganized clinic, unprofessional, did not bother to sen report to referring MD. Will not see this doctor again.

said he would send me for tests. proper supplies not provided. called 2 months later, still not supplied. told testing places don't do the tests. waited 3 months still no reply from doc. he doesn't care apparently

Dr. Steinway is pleasant and tells it like it is ! He has been excellent with taking care of issues and I appreciate his staff, because I know that they will get back to me quickly.

Excellent contact for my first visit. A doctor who listen and gives easy to understand responses. The lady at the reception desk was very nice and friendly

Outstanding and caring urologist. After a positive DRE, Dr. Steinway ordered an MRI to confirm the area of concern. A prostate biopsy was ordered and went incredibly well and painless due to the skill or Dr Steinway. He is now open to all types of treatments, not just surgery, so his concern is with his patients well fare first and foremost.

I am a current patient of Dr. Steinway. I like him very much although I do agree the front office staff needs some professional training for many reasons. I will not criticize them but they honestly should learn to be more organized, polite and professional on all levels and I trust Dr. Steinway will fine tune that area so not to lose patients. They are the first impression when you walk in his office and they should be at their best.

Would NOT recommend him. Spent maybe 10 minutes in exam. He ordered and ultrasound. NINE days after SMIL sent the results to him, I had to call and see if he had the results. One of his staff (I'm pretty sure the front office receptionist) called me back and read the results like she was reading a recipe. Because the recommendation was to see a surgeon, I asked that Dr. Steinway call me back. He did later that day, however, acted surprised that I wanted more information from him.

To say we were impressed by Dr Steinway would be an understatement. Due to a tight travel schedule we were challenged by a stubborn kidney stone that had settled in. Dr. Steinway was so professional, kind, patient, and knowledgable in answering our endless questions, laid out the challenges and solutions with clarity, and then moved mountains to get it taken care of quickly and successfully. Couldnt ask for more in a physician in ANY specialty!

Doctors and staff are amazing . The staff is very polite and welcoming . As for the office manger she is rude , no work ethics , seems like her staff is a burden to her. I have never seen an office manger yell at her staff like she did . She has no compassion. I have called and left her voice mails and she does not return calls . The staff maybe be better off without a “manger “

Absolutely one of the least professional & disorganized doctors I have ever used. He misplaced labs twice and I had to go through hell to get any information from his staff. STAY AWAY.

I went to Dr. Steinway because I was referred for possible interstitial cystitis. I felt he was not listening to me at all and to my discomfort and pain. He just took IC out as an option without checking anything. He also gave me no tips or helpful things to help my symptoms. I've had so many negative infection and he put me on an antibiotic. It makes no sense and I'm left with no answers or help.

Dr. Steinway couldn't have been more uninterested and unhelpful. He spend less than 10 minutes with me, had nothing to offer for help, advice, etc. He completely blew me off and sent me on my way before I could even ask more questions. It was the worst experience I've ever had with any type of medical professional. He was clueless and not willing to help. I plan on reporting him to my insurance company to make sure they don't pay the invoice from his office, and get my co-pay back.

Superbly trained in modern procedures, thoroughly knowledgeable about conditions affecting me, and listens carefully. His treatment decisions are open for discussion, and thoughtfully presented. His office staff are simply superb; and his physician practice partners excellent. I feel quite lucky to have been referred to Dr. Steinway and to have had emergency surgery by him at Banner University Medical Center.
