I saw Dr. Skeens for an urgent issue when my usual doctor wasn’t available. He was very attentive, and clearly caring, asking me to keep him posted on whether I was improving. Most impressive, he called me with test results before I was even home from the office! It was clear he really cared about helping me get better.

Dr. Skeens was very thorough and he has a great bedside manner. He took his time to ask questions and we jointly agreed on a way forward, which I really appreciated. After the appointment, Dr. Skeens also followed up promptly calling me with test results. In sum, a great doctor!

Dr. Skeens treated and advised me for a number of years while practicing in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He always made time to listen empathetically and provided creative and effective options for treatment. I wish he was still in Iowa. We miss him!

Dr. Skeens was available last minute and has now become my Primary Care Physician (PCP) because of his wonderful support (despite not being near my home). I visited with a seemingly benign complaint, but Dr Skeens took his time to go through my query and make sure that he'd assessed me fully. He presented and weighed all the options, making me feel involved and knowledgeable about the process at each step, taking his time and caring for my input. Ultimately he gave the correct advice and my issue has been resolved. Most importantly though has been the ongoing support he's provided. He's constantly checked in via text without my prompting just to make sure I was ok, and has quickly responded to my requests for medication or advice. I truly have never had an experience like this and couldn't be happier to recommend Dr Skeens.

He reminds me of my retired family doctor Keiser! He is kind, very knowledgeable and he is the first doctor my kids have loved and has stuck around and not transferred. His team is top notch, they all go above and beyond in every aspect!
