Totally Awesome Doctor...!!!
I retired from New England and was referred to Dr. Shlapack by an RN in Florida as I needed a new Endicrineologist. Dr. Shlapack is one of the Best doctors I ever visited. He is throuough in his exams, addresses your concerns and works with you to make sure that all of your issues are addressed. He even identified issues that were missed by other doctors in the past and is addressing them appropriately. For my Thyroid and Type 2 Diabetes issues, I would not recommend any other doctor than Dr. Matthew Shlapack.

My wife and I had Dr. SHLAPACK as our endocrinologist when he was at Holy Cross hospital in Ft . Lauderdale, Florida. He was always very courteous, knowledgeable and professional when we met with him. I would highly recommend him.

Don't know how you could find a more caring doctor
I am going through some serioun health issues. He wanted to make sure that I knew he was here for me and would help me through it. Made excellent recommendatlions and had his staff help me work the required procedures. Ended up spending over a hour with his assistant.

In-compassionate Doctor
One of the worst doctors I have I ever encountered. I have out of control diabetes and am not the best patient I try. I have been in the hospital on two occasions recently and on both occasions discharged with my diabetes reasonably under control. As told at the hospital to report to to my endocrinologist within two weeks which I did. He did not follow my discharge instructions and may have glanced at the discharge documents. During my last visit he threatened to drop me as I did not follow his instructions. Initially we had good repore and was anxious to work with a new doctor. Some of his instruction are somewhat unrealistic . He is defenately not a good doctor for seniors. He is rude, condescending, pompous and has no idea what some seniors are going through. Definitely would no recommend him.

Best endocrinologist I have found
He doesn't mess around. He listens and addresses all your concerns and seems to genuinely care about me. He is also great at making sure to not make you wait around to be seen. Hope I never have to change doctors again!

Rude, condescending, does not answer questions.
Seems to have a God complex. Answers questions with smart mouth answers. Doesn’t appear to be able to think outside the box. Doesn’t listen.

Best doctor I have found.
Dr Shlapack it’s so nice. He really takes time to address all your concerns. I see him in silver springs location. Staff is all very nice. He’s one of the first doctors who did not make me feel like he had his hand on the door rushing to next patient. He makes you feel like a person and not a number. He’s the Best that there is.

Great Experience!
Wow! Not sure these poor reviews are of the same doctor I saw. My experience, over 3 appointments, has been great. Dr. Shlapack listened to all my concerns, and was very reassuring. I am shocked to read these other reviews that are so low. I look forward to following up with him next year!

It took months to see him. When I finally did, he was so rude. He has a condescending attitude about him when he speaks to you. Basically treating you like you're stupid and know nothing. I only saw him less than a handful of times before I called it quits and went to another doctor.

I would not recommend him to anyone. Our experience was that he was abrupt, rude, dismissive and wanted things his way without a discussion. He was inappropriately dismissive of concerns raised.

Probably the worst Doctor I've ever seen. He was bounced from Holy Cross, which is where I saw him. I needed a refill for gabapentin, and he told me No, go back to my internist. I did and never saw Slapac again.

This endo was excellent. He sat down with me, was taking notes on every word I said, did a very good analysis of my records, and was courteous. He's the best endo I've seen in the Fort Myers area and I've been to a few. I highly recommend seeing him.
