Dr. Matthew Rohrbach, MD

I'm glad i got the best doctor ever! He knows his stuff !

Recently I was scheduled for a colonoscopy with Dr. Rohrbach at HIMG. After no wait at all, a nurse took me to a private room, introduced herself, gave me clear instructions, and explained what she was doing to prepare me, including what medications I was being given. It was not long before Dr. Rohrbach came to my room, introduced himself, engaged in some casual conversation that helped put me at ease, and asked if I had any questions. I was then wheeled to the room where the procedure was carried out. I was able to watch what was happening on a monitor, since I was only under "conscious sedation." Dr. Rohrbach explained his findings (one polyp) and said I could resume normal activities. A few days later I received a letter from him stating that he hoped my recovery was uneventful and informing me that the benign polyp posed no risk and did not require additional follow up. Dr. Rohrbach and HIMG--what a class act!

Staff at HIMG very attentive. Doctor was too busy to wait until I was awake after EGD to discuss findings and recommendations. Person that drove me to procedure and back was told Information. Called his office next day. Not everything on summary matched what the person he told understood the doctor to say. I had questions I would have liked to ask but now have to wait two months for the follow up to discuss with him. I am a retired medical professional with ICU, acute med, ER and hospital nursing supervisor experience. I had anticipated the same level of cares I had provided and insisted my staff provide, with regard to patient communication. Needless to say I was disappointed. I spoke to the doctors office nurse to to have summary read to me, she came very close to being rude when I complained of poor direct patient communication. Rohrbach maybe a fantastic doctor, I don’t really know but the lack of patient consideration for direct information sucks.
