Because the surgery I wanted wasn't interesting enough for him, I was left with an indifferent, mediocre surgical result. If he cares about your case, he's probably fine. But if you don't interest him, he isn't.

Good for the price
I had masculinizing top surgery (double mastectomy with no nipple preservation) performed by Dr. Ranzer in 2022, now that more than a year has passed, my results are…. Mid. Pre- surgery communication was thorough, but I had one issue with his communication about my options about nipple preservation. I didn’t really want to keep my nipples, but the way he talked about options was bordering on coercive (no nipples is easier and faster for the surgical team, and with fewer complications). My bigger issue is with my incision placement. My incision scars are very uneven and cut across my remaining breast tissue instead of lining up with the bottom of my pectoral area. Also, there is strange puckering between my incisions, giving me a little bit of a boxy tiny cleavage look. Overall, I don’t regret my decision because it is what was available to me and I am much happier post surgery. However, if you have other options, I would recommend exploring them before making your decision.

I was referred to Dr. Ranzer for the 1st time in June 2023 to discuss possible panniculectomy. When I say I could not be more happy with my results would be an understatement. From start to finish he walked me through what the procedure would look like, pre/post operative things. He, his care team and the team he works with at Mt. Sinai were phenomenal. I’m about 6 weeks out from surgery and I feel amazing. I look even better and it’s all because of Dr. Ranzer. I would definitely suggest considering him to do your procedure. The way my bikini line was cut is like “chefs kiss” I mean the scar is even and not raised. Again I know I’m only 6 weeks post op, but I can’t wait to see what it’s like 6 months out to a year. I have been living with the excess skin and terrible looking belly button for years and I’ve never felt more confident. Let me also give props to Dr. Ranzer bringing back life into a belly button I swear I didn’t even think existed. I LOVE DR. RANZER!!! Such an awesome guy

Revision
Dr Ranzer is a fabulous conscience doctor. I had a bi-lateral mastectomy in 2021 and went to immediate implantation. Fast forward 1 year later and had to have another surgery to fix the implants with fat transfer. He gave me back exactly what I dreamed of. I wish I had met him a year ago so I didn’t have to have another surgery but the end result is wonderful. He is a wonderful surgeon with a great bedside manner, as he spent almost 2 hours with me at consultation and I knew he was the right Dr. For this job. Thank you Dr Ranzer for making me whole again. Your work is amazing and I would recommend him to anyone that asks me.

Dr.Ranzer is an amazing and compassionate surgeon. He performed my reconstruction after a bilateral mastectomy in March of 2022. He took his time and explained every reconstruction option available and what he would/would not reccomend for me and why. He clearly explained what would happen throughout surgery & recovery. I felt very comfortable with him and his team from the start, and he made me feel more confident in the decisions I was making. He worked very well with my breast surgeon, and surgery & recovery went well with very little discomfort. I was back to normal activity in days, and completely cleared within 6 weeks. I am extremely pleased with my results, and look forward to our follow-up appointments. I am a very satisfied and appreciative patient and would highly recommend him.

Dr Ranzer was absolutely awesome. I had ruptured breast implants .I was dealing with pain and other difficulties for over 2 years trying to find a doctor to get that mess out of me. He got the silicone out and did a breast lift. I am still healing but I look normal. Dr Ranzer was wonderful as was his staff.

I had an abdominoplasty, breast lift with fat transfer, and reduced size of areolas. It was a great overall experience. The communication was there and I wasn't rushed or being persuaded to have procedures done that wasn't necessary. I was not knowledgeable about everything that comes with the surgery so when I experienced complications, all I could do was contact Dr. Ranzer and the Nurse. They both helped me along the way in a timely fashion. When you're in so much discomfort (and trust me, it comes with this surgery), it is important to be able to communicate quickly with your team. That was extremely important for me and I am totally satisfied. I refer any and everyone that is considering these surgeries to Dr. Ranzer. And the prices were like Miami so I can't even complain!

I would definitely recommend Dr. Ranzer to my family and friends. And here is why: Dr. Ranzer is a brilliant plastic surgeon who repaired a large, painful wound I had been suffering with for many years. The surgery had excellent results. Very little discomfort which went away in a few weeks. He returned my life to normal. He has a pleasant personality and sharp wit. Because the surgery went so well, I told him I'll have to send him a fruit cake every Christmas and he laughed. He is very patient and kind. He's willing to answer every question. I was in a hospital only once before and was really scared to have surgery. He gave me the confidence to have it done. Now my life is normal again. A talented surgeon and a great guy! I will always be extremely thankful.

I highly recommend Dr. Ranzer he is professional, nice and makes you feel very comfortable. He was honest about my situation and gave me great advice to prepare for the procedure. I left feeling motivated and most importantly not as a number but as someone he cared about my well being and making sure I was doing what is best for my health and body! I had 20 year old implant's removed and breast lift the results are incredible. Dr. Ranzer is skilled and detailed surgeon, I am extremely pleased, Thank you.

Dr. Ranzer is the best physician I’ve had in my plastic surgery reconstructive experiences as a patient. I’ve had many surgeries with other physicians but I must say he really made me feel acknowledged. He has a great personality and easy to talk too . My last procedure left me with minimal bruising and a lot of my burn scar was removed . I’m very pleased with my results . I highly would recommend!

Dr. Ranzer was one of the most respectful doctors I've ever seen. I had a mass removed from one of my breasts, and he did the cosmetic reconstruction. When I first saw him, I had an idea of what I wanted, even though I knew it was a riskier option. He respected my boundaries, and didn't push me in a different direction, just explained the procedure I was thinking about very clearly and thoroughly. I went home and thought about it, and when I came back I asked him about the safer procedure. He explained that one very well, too, answered all my questions in person and via email, and always checked to make sure I understood. He was extremely kind, patient, and reassuring, both in the office and on the day of surgery. He informed me of all the risks, and I felt prepared for some possible worst case scenarios, and had time to think about them in advance. At the end of the day, the surgery went VERY well, and I couldn't be happier with the result.

Dr. Ranzer is a very personable surgeon. He sat down with me and my mom and explained things very thoroughly. He set our minds at ease with how well he explained things. I really appreciate the amazing job he did with her breast reconstruction post partial mastectomy. Excellent surgeon and even better person. Thank you Dr. Ranzer!
