I had a horrible experience with Dr. Laye. His bedside manner/demeanor was very rude and nonchalant. He did not seem to care of my concerns during my pregnancy, nor listened to relaid information from my primary OB. His exact words to me were that "that wasn't noted in your chart." This was my first and last visit with him. I have never left an appointment at Spartanburg Regional Maternal Fetal in tears, ever.

Dr. Laye is our hero. Starting at 20weeks we knew that something was wrong with Baby James. His kidneys weren’t developing correctly and that was causing my amniotic fluid to disappear. We feared for James’ prognosis once he would be born. Dr. Laye was meticulous at following James’ scans. In our last week Dr. laye would see me every morning as we weighed the pros and cons of delivering at 28weeks. Fortunately we made the right choice and my boy is excelling in the NICU. He is our hero
