Dr. Matthew Kaufman, MD

Dr. Kaufman performed phrenic nerve surgery on me in May 2022 after my nerve was damaged from the covid vaccine. He told me at very best I could possibly get back to 90% before my injury. I did my 2 yr Pulmonary test this morning and I am back to 100%! I worked really hard my first yr post op doing physical therapy like he told me to do, and everything has paid off. I am back to where I was before my injury in late 2021. Anyone considering Dr. Kaufman's services, PLEASE do not put it off. Check with him to see if he can help you like he did me. I've had several surgeries in my lifetime and this one is the best decision I have ever made. I can't thank Dr. Kaufman enough for helping me get my life and breathing back to normal.

Dr. Kaufman diagnosed and then repaired my diaphragm disorder 6 months ago. My breathing has been restored to near normal, something I feared might never occur. Dr. Kaufman has an unparalleled ability to navigate and apply his vast medical and unwavering problem solving talent to fix my paralyzed diaphragm by clearing up and transplanting my severely damaged phrenic nerve that was not signaling the left side of my diaphragm to perform as needed in order to breathe. I no longer require supplemental oxygen in order to live. I can now participate in physical therapy and conditioning to bring back the pieces that had stopped working. I am eternally grateful to have discovered Dr. Kaufman, who has a thoughtful, respectful bedside manner, who has created a medical arena utilizing all avenues available and has clear determination to navigate the complexities of this condition and restore me to a healthful life. I am forever grateful for the divine intervention that led me to his care.
