Rude and got rid of me without doing anything
In my previous visit 2 years ago, doctor's Physician Assistant Alexa saw me, and she was excellent. But today I was seen by Dr. Katz. He was very Rude and wanted to get rid of me ASAP. I showed him very small red dots appearing on my skin on my arm, legs, neck, shoulder area etc. And he kept on saying 'I don't see anything'. He did not bother to pull out small magnifier like Alexa did. Then, I showed him the photo of a large area (2x1.5') with a group of small dots. And he said 'I don't look at photos'. Then, I showed him 2 big areas and 4-5 smaller areas where those red dots left brown permanent marks before dying. He said nothing. Then I told him that Alexa had talked to my primary care doctor last time, and she gave me an ointment, which helped a lot. He rudely replied : 'then go to your primary care doctor...' and left me in the exam room.I don't think such doctors should be allowed to do medical practice. He did nothing... but he will bill Medicare and get paid.

Treatment ok, but front desk staff dishonest
During my visit, Dr.Katz gave me the quote for the visit with a tiny discount. Staff at the frond desk apparently did not want to argue with him, so charged me the quoted amount. As far as I was concerned I paid in full for what I was told right after the visit. As soon as I leave the office they issue a bill for the discounted amount to claim it back. Now is this ethical and respectful attitude towards customers? I feel mistreated and humiliated. Giving 2 stars for the ointment that he prescribed; it seems to have helped somewhat. I have not seen such petty and devious front desk staff yet.

Never going back.
He was not helpful in explaining why my itchy scalp continues to bother me. When I told him the shampoo I am using he said it wouldn’t work and then didn’t recommend anything to use instead. Very defensive and gruff when questioned. Bedside manner is weak, typical know it all doctor with little empathy.

Disrespectful Treatment
I had a terrible experience with Dr. Matthew Katz. I arrived to my 9:45 appointment 3 minutes late, at 9:48. Due to issues with my referral from my primary doctor, I spent time talking to the receptionist. By the time things were sorted, I was able to start the electronic sign in, which was at 9:54. I waited for a while for a call back, and I saw Dr. Katz mention to the receptionist that because I was late, he would get to me when he got to me. I watched patients that came in later than me be seen. I waited for over 45 minutes, but after all this, I left without ever being seen, and felt extremely disrespected by the way this was handled, without even asking any questions. I was not a person in his demographic of patients, and I felt like I was overlooked, I felt uncomfortable, and I would not want someone like that touching my body. I would never want to be seen by someone that does not respect me or my time.

Rude, dismissive, and condescending
Rude, dismissive, and condescending: that pretty much sums up Dr. Katz. I went for a a recurring health concern that was healing up. He briefly looked at it, said there there was nothing for him to treat and that the skin was normal (it wasn’t; I know how my skin behaves.) He scolded me for not going to see him first. He is so out of touch that he doesn’t realize that it make take months to get an appointment with him. He didn’t pay attention to my concerns. The second time was the same: rude, dismissive, and condescending. He really wouldn’t listen to my concerns. Since this was during my yearly physical, when I told the nurse I still had the other unresolved issue, she told the doctor. I overheard him outside the door, telling her I couldn’t do the two exams because of money/billing. That I could not combine two appointments. I guess, had he found something during my yearly physical, he would had not treated it. I don't recommend him as a dermatologist

He is too stubborn. His prescription pattern is 50 years old, and could not understand the patient's seriousness about the disease.

Absolutely TERRIBLE! Kept referring to my son as a she even after correcting him. His name isn’t even unisex seemed intentional after a while. I walked out of appointment once he sneezed and chose to hold on to the tissue he blew his nose with while attempting to examine my sons skin. Before he could that I left . Do not go this place just awful awful awful. Please do your research on non recommended reviews on another site. There lies the truth!

This was by far the best the best botox experience I've ever had. He was explanatory, patient, and the outcome is natural. It looks better than 10 years ago, before the aging. I will be going back!

Best facialist in town! I have VERY sensitive skin and am always apprehensive when "trying out" a new service provider, and I must say that Dr. Katz superseded all of my expectations. He is extremely knowledgeable and attentive, and I feel safe/confident in his capable hands. I look forward and feel fortunate to having him as part of my routine. I highly recommend his clinic to everyone!
