If you might have ADHD, go elsewhere
I made an appointment with him to talk about ADHD testing, anxiety, & issues with fatigue. He told me, after talking to me for 5 minutes & not asking me about any ADHD symptoms, that he 'didn't think I had ADHD' & refused to TEST me. This seemed very unscientific, but I figured I'd at least try to work with him anyway. I told him that the most important thing about treating my anxiety was that many medications gave me fatigue. Fatigue made all of my other symptoms worse, so under NO circumstance should I be put on something that makes me sleepy, especially because I had a demanding WFH job.I have never been more tired than when he put me on that terrible medication. I struggled to not fall asleep during work, fell asleep as soon as work was over, & couldn't wake up on time the next day. Come to find out, extreme fatigue is one of the primary side effects that he didn't warn me about! Another doc tested me, diagnosed me, and treated my ADHD (lol). Don't go here!

Dr. Johnson is cruel and I believe dangerous. I left and went 400 miles back to my previous psychiatrist who immediately reversed everything he was doing and helped me. I believe he enjoyed hurting me and did it just because he could. Who would believe me? Psychiatrist vs Mental Patient. Who do you think will win? He is the most awful person I have ever met. Oh, he's sorry I feel this way.

I had seen Dr Johnson over the summer for medication. I had 2 horrible meetings with him, to one point he said he was going to not treat me. This was because he disagreed with one point of my treatment, that I felt strongly about. Here I was out of work because of panic attacks. He has me on 2 new meds. Because of his ego, he was going to drop me right there and leave me without a treatment plan. I had to practically almost beg him to not do that. I backed up on my point, and even then he said he didn't believe me. It was the worst experience from a care giver, or lets say a HUMAN BEING i have ever dealt with. Do not choose him as your doctor. You will regret it.

Over the years I have regretted not filing a grievance against Dr. Johnson. He saw him once a month for almost 9 years. It was for Medicine Management. There were times that I did forget that I had a appointment with him, and several times I was 10 minutes late. I always paid the fee or apologized because the mistake was on me. However, the last appointment with him I canceled. I called the day before to cancel. I didn't want to pay the charge for a last minute notice. Dr. Johnson charged me anyway! I called him a couple times to ask him about it. And, even spoke to his receptionist. He finally called back. Dr. Johnson left me a horrific voice message. He called me "habitually late client." And, a "repeat offender" of NOT showing up!! Not true. His tone was cruel as well as unprofessional to say the least. He went on to say that canceling a appointment should be 48hrs not 24hrs. And, he would be charging me because I was 4 hrs shy of the 24hr cancellation. Just a FAIR doctor too.

Dr Johnson has been my psychiatrist for many years and his care has enabled me to be gainfully employed and a contributing member of my community and family. He has altered my medications as needed and always, to my benefit, been spot on.

I'm actually shocked to see negative reviews of Dr. Johnson! I've been seeing him for about a year, and I think he's absolutely wonderful. I find him attentive and caring. He doesn't rush, takes my concerns seriously, and returns calls quickly. For various reasons, it's very difficult for me to trust psychiatrists, but Dr. Johnson has somehow managed to make me feel completely safe and comfortable. I feel fortunate to have found him.

My appointment with Dr. Johnson was probably the worst psychiatric session that I have ever had in my life. After wasting valuable time with Dr. Johnson, he has the audacity to tell me that ADHD does not exist and hinted that I received my diagnosis by answering vague questions that can be applied to anyone. Is that not he same for ALL mental disorders? Not counting that I was diagnosed via IQ testing, but alas. He's a waste of time and money (I still paid for horrible service!). Go elsewhere.

I was referred to Dr Johnson by my therapist for a med eval for severe side effects of depression. Due to the forgetfulness, an accident, being behind a school bus & snow plow, I was late. I called 12 times in the 15 mins prior to my apt. & left msgs asking if he could still see me or if I needed to reschedule. I was 5 mins away from his office when he finally called me to say that he wouldn't r/s w/out $ down before & laughed at me when I explained that I thought his office was in a diff. town.

Dr. Johnson listened to me, asked me questions, and made me feel heard. The second I walked in and sat down, I felt immediately at ease and comfortable talking to him about anything and everything! He was phenomenal to speak with and I would recommend him to anyone seeking a professional about thier needs!

Wouldn't listen to me when I spoke about my ADHD. Maintains that it's very unlikely for adults to have ADHD and that anyone feel like they have poor concentration sometimes and lots of people feel good on adderall, that's why they cook it in basements! No, I'm sorry but ADHD is real and Dr. Johnson, at least in this instance, doesn't know what he's talking about.
