I would not. I've dealt with doctors at the NSPC in the D.C. area for many years. They were empathetic and compassionate. Mr. Holland seems imperious and somewhat self-involved, harping several times during my first visit with him how medicine is "an art, not a science" and how he himself doesn't subscribe to the practices of other doctors in his field. It seemed he was less concerned about me than he was about a soapbox. So he cut off my pain medication, prescribed something that kept me up at all hours, and when I notified him about this, he prescribed something else, which also induced insomnia. When I informed him of this and suggested that perhaps the medication that my previous D.C.-area doctors had prescribed for many years, and which worked well, might be in order, he said I should find another doctor. Unfortunately, this pattern seems to be the case whenever I switch from a metro-area NSPC doc to one in a rural area. I suspect these country doctors aren't quite up to par.

This doctor pretended to listen but already had his mind made up because I was a workers comp case. He shut down what multiple physicians had diagnosed me with, prescribed medications I am allergic to, and didn't document even a portion of our conversation while falsifying some of what he did write. His diagnosis was inconsistent with what my diagnostic tests show. He has not responded to me despite multiple calls and messages through the patient portal. I could go on, but bottom line is if you're a workers comp patient, don't go!!!

I can’t leave a review for Dr. Holland since I only seen him once for about 10 minutes but he seemed nice and sincere. I do see Micheal bi-monthly well now it’s going to be monthly due to new regulations. I have no complaints for him nor his staff you are treated like a person and not just like your another paycheck for them. Dr Kipp and Micheal both performed injection procedures and done great very little pain during the procedure. I highly recommend them for pain management They are allot better at treating you as a person than the other place I was going to. I’m only leaving a 3 star review because like I said I’ve only seen Dr. Holland once for about 10 minutes. I would give 5 stars to Micheal and the staff at the Harrisonburg office.

He listens, then explains his assessment and his plan for addressing my spine issues. He seems to care, and not just rush you off, as some doctors do.

Dr. Holland’s Office was frustrating. I waited an hour before I was even admitted into a cubicle. He was careless, rough, distracted, and impatient and spent less than 10 minutes with me. He did not review my medical history, nor did he listen to my pain issues. He did not want to deal with my complicated health issues which are severe, diverse, and ongoing. He advised against surgery because of the pain medications that I take which are necessary for me to function. He destroyed my hope.

I’ve been seeing for Dr. Holland several years and he’s fantastic. I receive several types of injections that manages to keep me of off daily pain medications for several conditions that have no cure (Chiari Malformation, IIH and vEDS). He’s compassionate, caring and listens to what you need as a patient.

Dr. Holland is very professional. He is astute in diagnosing, accurate in targeting treatments, and persistent in searching for the causes of pain. The clinic is run efficiently, which can mean it is difficult to ask questions and get answers. Nonetheless Dr. Holland does his best to explain and he is careful to show kindness and sensitivity to one's pain. I also found Dr. Kipp and Michael Morton to be skilled, knowledgeable, and willing to discuss medical issues in depth. The staff is very kind

I was a self pay patient I had to pay 250 deposit just to make an appointment then at the appointment I was told I had to pay 345 more, I was not told this when I made the appointment. Holland said he could only give injections and that would be thousands more. What am I supposed to do since I do not have that kind of money? He would not even give me a small rx to carry me through till I could figure out what to do. I'm in terrible pain AND broke because I gave this office ALL my money!

Dr. Holland is a fantastic doctor with an amazing bedside manner. He is very knowledgeable and answers questions in a professional order. His staff on the other hand is very unprofessional and do not follow through on insurance related issues or other request by patients. I only refer people for Dr Holland and not for his less than helpful staff.
