Dr. Matthew Hess, MD

Amazing doctor really listens to your concerns about your health. Answers questions you have. He really does go above and beyond for his patients. Would recommend him to anyone. Been seeing him about 17 years now.

I've been going to DR. Matt aka Doc Hess for years love him he is very caring , compassionate , takes his time listens and answers all of my questions and always ask is there anything else I can help you with today. He works to get to the bottom of things that are not clear and is very gentle handed ?? I do recamend him highly!

All visits, MyChart messages, telephone/video calls Dr Hess and his staff (especially Missie) ensure people are taken care of. If they say they'll do something, they do. They accept you for who you are not by how much insurance or whoever's paying them. As a patient, you can see that he cares and will go through the ends of the earth trying everything just because it's the right thing to do. I've been with him for years now and trust this office with anything concerning me. I'm glad I was referred to him because, as far as Fort Wayne goes, he's among 2 other Doctors (1 retired and the other relocated) on my list of Doctors who depict greatness, compassion, knowledge and understanding. I'm so grateful for his office, because even if sometimes I give up and want to say forget it all, they keep going. Staff actually know your name when you walk in/speak to you like a person. Dr. Matt remembers effects from meds/issues before & how you responded. Overall, this is home...cozy/real/helpful.

Dr. Hess is the best Family Doctor I have had in my 63 years. His Staff included! The first time I went there, I thought, oh they’re just being nice to me cause I’m a new patient. Not So! Every time I go there, whether it’s been 6 months or a week, they are still as nice. After 2 years Dr. Hess and his staff are a keeper if they’ll have me , with all my medical issues! I’ve already recommended Dr. Hess and his staff to many people. Real quick. I had a seizure there a few months ago. But when I woke up Dr. Hess was holding my hand, and said you’re back. How do you feel? He was greatly concerned over a 63 year old woman with Epilepsy! And his staff too ! He has a great sense of humor, but also knows when things are serious. Dr. Matt is always upbeat and pleasant. He listens well and offers concrete, use able advice. He's truly good person!

Excellent bedside manners. Easy to talk to and genuine feel that he does care. Very thorough. I have never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes and easy to get appointments especially when sick.

Extremely competent. Caring and up to date on health care. Seldom wait more than a few minutes, good manager of his time.
