Not Reliable for long term care
My husband and I were under Dr. Hansen’s care for about 15 years. We followed him when he left St. Mark’s Family medicine. Now he’s left again from Olympus Medical. We decided that we could no longer follow. The last 2 1/2 years has been rocky at Olympus Family, the MD we elected to stay with, is not a good fit with us at all. My elderly husband was very affected that Hansen, just quit again! It has led me to believe that he didn’t care about his patients, as we thought he did. We are presently waiting for a new appt At Granger Medical. I hope it to be our final destination.

Great Doctor. The only doctor I've ever been to that I feel comfortable talking with.

Dr. Hansen has always been a great doctor and cares for many of my family members too. I trust him and know that he doesn’t want to rush my appointment and always wants to take the time to listen to me to provide such great care. I am grateful to have him as my health care provider! A little soapbox standing…..Health care as a whole is causing good doctors to be the round peg forced into a square hole. Let me explain, over time the health industry has created a sort of forced assembly line type of care. I feel that I can speak accurately to this because of my 30+ years of career experience within the technical areas of private insurance and Medicare, talking to patients and doctors who expressed their frustration. It has become about business instead of people. This has created a risk as those we trust are being forced to ‘fit into a box’ that business has created. (As my mother remembers doctors coming to homes to provide care). Look where we are now!

He has been my doc for 20 years. The best at what he does. Dr Hansen has moved & is open taking patients! I am so happy I found his number. His former office won’t, will NOT, give it to me (they have to BTW). People leaving bad reviews must not know him or they are fake! An immediate family member of his had a serious illness. I don’t know anyone that wouldn’t be stressed or taking time off dealing with that. I was told that he also had ideology issues dealing with corporate practices, after being at one address for 17 years, & that is why he changed. Dr Hansen is very thorough & happy to be doing his own thing. If you can’t get his information, call Holladay City to get his office number.

Dr. Hansen has been my doctor for several years, and was very good - however, his quality of care has diminished lately. Right now he is not available as he resigned from Olympus Clinic. This is the second time he has done this - leaving his patients wondering whether they should find another doctor or what. Has left us high & dry. Discouraged.

I've been seeing Dr Hansen for approx 20 years & have never had such a caring doctor. I would follow him any where he works. I've had several issues which he handles with great knowledge & understanding. I now have my husband going to him & he's been such a great help with his health issues . I will always consider Dr Hansen & Kati, his assistant as family. Even on my worse days i leave with a better attitude. Also not to forget the staff at his new location are very friendly & helpfu!

**PLEASE READ** Billing is done incorrectly causing balances in excess of what insurance will cover. Nurse practitioners are billing as specialists creating excessive co-pay fees. Regular office visits are being coded incorrectly creating denied claims by insurance carriers. No accountability is taken by billing and office staff for their coding mistakes! Unless you want to pay out of pocket for your visits and be threatened by collection agencies I wouldn't suggest Granger Medical Clinic as a p

I have been with Dr. Hansen for many many years. I was so relieved when he left Wasatch Granger Medical. Thank God Margaret Grogan was still there for us until Matt was established at Olympus Family medicine. Matt is like family, he never ending love and care for my mom until she passed at age 92 was beyond enduring. We love you Matt & Kati The Jarmon Family

I was a patient of Dr. Hansen for 10 years. We recently moved out of state and I miss him. He is a kind, patient, funny, amazing doctor. I agree with the comment about Granger Medical, the office in general sucked. Matt was the main reason I stayed. Margaret Grogan was great when you could not get into Dr. Hansen. He will open up a practice somewhere else. He loves his patients. Thank you everything Matt.

I've been with Dr Hansen for 23 years. He has always been concerned with my health this whole time, to the point he has called me at home to see that I was feeling better. He is like a family member. He helped me through some painful medical issues even when I didn't have insurance. He has left his practice at Granger but I will track him down again when he is re-established somewhere else. Thank you for being there for my wife and I. ??

I have been with Dr. Hansen for over 8 years. He is one of the best. He personally comes and gets me from the waiting room if staff are falling behind. I would recommend him as a physician any day but the Granger Medical Office he was in is terrible!!! I am glad to hear he has left that office. I call back faithfully to find out if they have a new number for him. We want to remain his patients not at the office he practiced in. if you have the opportunity get him as your doctor.

I was one of Dr. Hansen's first patients and feel that he is very competent, caring and available.. I have had to see another doctor since he has left the clinic. I miss him. I have shared many personal problems with him and he was always very comforting. I miss his presence in my life and wish him much success in his future endeavors.

I think Dr. Hansen is amazing!! He thinks outside the box, which is great, all because everything about my health and problems are NOT textbook. Sometimes even the complete opposite of what it should be. He is very realistic and straight forward. He also will do anything for his pt's. He personally calls to see how I am doing, and also "holds your hand" over the phone to calm and relax you during a stressful procedure. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.
