Great bedside manner which I totally appreciate.

I had two procedures done with Dr Downey. He is very thorough in explaining what your procedure is and the outcome as well, he makes you feel very comfortable that also goes for his nurses also I was very pleased on how they treat you! Thank you Dr Downey and staff :)

I thought Dr. Downey was nice first time I visited. Second time, I wanted to discuss my ongoing IBS symptoms. He said, ' What do you expect me to do about it.' Well, Dr. I expect that if there's nothing you can do, and you have no advice, you at least have some empathy. If you are incapable of that, at least a decent bedside manner. You said your time is valuable. Well, you can count on me not taking up any more of your time.

My colonoscopy experience was very good. Excellent organization with no hassles at all. The staff made the whole experience easy.

Dr Downey wasn’t giving me good news, but he was informative and very kind. His staff is stellar too. The speed with which they got further care for me was very helpful.

He was very friendly, introduced himself before procedure and explained what was going to be done. Followed up when all was complete to let me know results.

The entire staff was very reassuring, kept me calm, explained everything, took their time and listened to what I had to say. I felt like I was in extremely good hands and had no worries at all with the colonoscopy procedure.

When we initially began seeing Dr. Downey, we found him to be friendly, competent and accessible. His staff efficient and friendly. However, over the past year 2023-2024 his entire demeanor has changed. He is curt bordering on nasty, doesn't pay attention to the patient who is speaking and in fact starts walking out of the exam room while the patient is still speaking. I had to tell him that I wasn't finished with my question and that he needed to come back into the room and close the door. Good doctor, but I personally want a doctor I can speak with.

Dr. Downey is always professional, respectful, and thorough. I appreciate his candor given with kindness. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

No one looks forward to either an endoscopy or colonoscopy, but the doctor and entire team make everyone feel comfortable and at ease for these procedures through their caring yet professional approach. I've had a few procedures done here through the years, and I have no reason to go anywhere else. In short, they're the best there is.
